Buying a Pre-Owned I have been a loyal customer of Hyundai for 30 years. My first two Hyundai's were Accents, my third Hyundai was a Sonata, then a Santa Fe, and finall I have been a loyal customer of Hyundai for 30 years. My first two Hyundai's were Accents, my third Hyundai was a Sonata, then a Santa Fe, and finally an Elantra-all brand new. I was spoiled by the Santa Fe and wanted to trade in the Elantra to go back into the Santa Fe, however, my husband and I agreed to buy a pre-owned this time. Once I began to inquire via Paramount Hyundai of Hickory's website, I was consistently courted by the dealership and agreed to make an appointment on March 19th and was very upfront with what I was looking for, and assured there would be something on the lot for me. When my husband and I arrived however, that was not the case. A young salesman came out and basically told me what I could NOT afford and worse yet, once he realized I was adamant about buying pre-owned, was no longer interested in helping me find a car. Now I certainly did not expect the red carpet, but this was going to be my SIXTH Hyundai, third at this particular dealership, which I informed the young man. It made no difference, so not 30 minutes later we left the lot and decided to go to Randy Marion in Statesville, where I had previously received excellent customer service (they filled my tires with nitrogen). There, I bought a PRE-OWNED Buick Encore and absolutely love it!! So thanks to the young man that turned me away, I have never been happier and will never buy another Hyundai vehicle again. More
