Michael was very accommodating, no pressure, answered all my questions about different models, went out of his way to allow me to test drive the specific vehicle I wanted to (he had to move multiple vehicles to get it out), spent a lot of time explaining all of the features and demonstrating the capabilities of the vehicle. Once we were inside, he partnered with Ryan and it was a great experience navigating the trade, finance, ownership process...very efficient, did exactly what they promised, even made the 1.5 hour drive the following Monday to meet me to retrieve the extra key and additional items for my trade vehicle...great customer service, great deal, great experience. Park Place just gained a customer for life thanks to those two employees. More
Service department rip off We have a gently used 2014 Is300 sport. The records show that the breaks were replaced at Lexus with 10 k miles in California. The car has 28 K mile We have a gently used 2014 Is300 sport. The records show that the breaks were replaced at Lexus with 10 k miles in California. The car has 28 K miles now. The front breaks are making a horrible noise. I took it to a break shop knowing that this is a wear kind of part which would not be covered in the warranty. The break shop informed me that the break pads and rotors were just fine. So I went to the PLANO Park place service department to find out what was causing this horrible noise when breaking. The service guy told me it would be $50 dollars to pull the wheel off and take a look to see if there is something wrong. I expressed to them that the break pads were still good. The pads were still good and not even close to the sensors. So the noise wasn't a sensor. He had to get his service manager to talk to me. Who explained to me "" I can not take the wheel off of your car to do a visual inspection without paying my employee ". The cost is $50 to pull off the wheel and look. Wow!! I could go to discount tire and get my flat fixed for free only because they want you to come back and buy tires. So naturally I always buy tires there. The bottom line is. Car dealerships are all crooks. Park place Lexus in PLANO is no exception. The break pads were used up a bit, the rotor was smooth. They weren't glazed over. The breaks were not worn to the point that they need replaced. All they could recommend was start over with new breaks and rotors. I got a quote on that. Enough said. The point of this review is. They just want to gouge you. Their service department blames their service techs for what they charge you. Even if it's taking off the wheel and taking a quick look. In addition to that. I guess you need to spend $750.00 on new breaks and rotors every 15k miles if you buy a Is350. More
