Park Place Lexus Plano

This is the THIRD Lexus I have bought from Park Place of Plano. I cannot recommend them enough. From the new car salesmen to the guys in the service department the service is top notch. I actually just recommended to my mom that she think about trading in her 2008 Lexus for a newer model and use Park Place of Plano as well. She has always used another Lexus dealership in town but after telling her about my positive experience for the 3rd time with Park Place of Plano I think she will make the switch. I had been shopping online for an ISF for about 6 months looking for the right car to buy with low miles and the right price. Found this pristine ISF on autotrader from Park Place Lexus and called Herb Simonsen the internet salses manager. I was extremely surprised how Herb made it easy to do business with over a 1000 miles away. The car was certified and I was given as many pictures as needed to make me feel comfortable with the long distance transaction as it was my first. Herb also took a weekend out of his time to meet me half way to accomplish the transaction. When we met the car was everything that I had expected and Herb was prepared with all appropriate paperwork to solidify my satisfaction. He was professional in his appearance and handling of the the transaction along with being very friendly. I will definitely call on his services for my next lexus as I love the quality of the brand. I was happy with everything EXCEPT the price negotiation. I said in the very beginning that I wanted to pay cash and was assured I could. I told Joe Pack and Liz Striegel each many times. It was agreed many times by both that I would pay cash until the very last minute when I was going to write my check. At that time Joe Pack told me to wait and he left the room. When he came back, he told me I didn't get the $1,000 discount for being a previous Lexus owner unless I took out a loan instead of paying cash. I was shocked and would have walked out except I wouldn't get my money back that I had already paid if I walked out. This was DECEPTION and I was extremely upset. I have never been deceived this blatantly before. I guess this is the way Park Place does business, so I will have a hard time getting over it when I get ready to buy another car. However, since I have had my car a few months now, Joe Pack has been very helpful and accommodating and I really like the car. The answer to the question,"Would you recommend this dealership?" is I'm not sure right now. There was no way to answer this correctly because there was no way to say, "I don't know." More
