I kept an eye out, however, for the outside-chance that I'd find a good deal on a CPO SUV on MBUSA dot com. I had a very specific car in mind: I wanted a 2009 or 2010 M-class diesel. When one popped-up at Park Place Mercedes, I drove down fully intending to grab it because it was competitively priced; low mileage; it was in my backyard; I didn't have any shady Internet dealings or questionable history from wholesalers to deal with; and to top it off, it was a CPO. The car itself was impeccable. To say it looked brand-new is cliche, but people get in and can't believe it is more than five years old. Their CPO process and detail team operate with surgical precision. In terms of the sale, I had a great with the Internet Sales team. I knew that was the exact car I wanted, so I wasn't really "sold" the car; rather the sales team was there to make the process as smooth as possible.
