Unsatisfactory Customer Service Hello, I’m very disappointed in the Mercedes Benz Service Department on Lemmon Ave in Dallas, TX. I’ve driven a Mercedes since I was 25 years old a Hello, I’m very disappointed in the Mercedes Benz Service Department on Lemmon Ave in Dallas, TX. I’ve driven a Mercedes since I was 25 years old and never have I experienced such disappointing customer service. I took my car to Mercedes Benz because the radio and navigation dash monitor was not working. I told Drew Parker, service adviser, and advised him the day-time running light was out. I told him, it must be a fuse. He calls to tell me, I needed a new battery and an alternator. Well, I just had a brand new battery installed two days before. I had the alternator checked twice and the starter. Both times, I was told your alternator and starter are fine you only needed a battery. So, as previously stated I had a battery installed. I told Drew, I JUST HAD A NEW BATTERY INSTALLED, but he insisted. I ASKED HIM VERBATIM, you are telling me, I need ANOTHER battery and alternator? He said, yes, this is why your dash items are not working. I said, no…check again, it’s a fuse. I don’t need either. He said, no, you need both and the dash items will work. I told him to install my battery and I’d come pick up my car. He said, well it will die out again because you need an alternator. I pick up my car he said, everything else is working. I asked, “Are you sure?” he said, “Yes, I just went in the back and the air was blowing cool.” I asked, “did the navigation dash pop up, he said, yes” They drive my car around, I ask him again, before I walk out. Everything is working, “he said YES.” We both walk out to my car and he said, oh you are right, its not working. Now, keep in mind he just told me “the air was blowing cool.” He then says, let me walk back to the service dept. He comes back and says, oh it because you need an alternator. Then, I notice, my lights not fixed. He said, oh, I’m sorry. I take my car, have an alternator installed, the same problems still exist. I take my car back to Drew, he tells me, “you need an alternator” ABSOLUTELY NOT! I had one installed. Drew: “When?” Me: “As soon as I picked it up from you” Drew: “Well let me give you a call back.” Drew calls me back, you need a “fuse” …. Me: “Oh really?” I told you this from the beginning. Now, he’s telling me I also need a fan and a fan motor. I go to Mercedes speak with a very nice assistant manager on a Saturday. I told him, I’ve been there twice and Drew has failed to get my light replaced, I tell him my long story and he was very helpful and told me he’d get my car fixed, not to worry. Well, once they called and told us we needed the blow fan motor and fan we asked for a manager because we can not keep guessing and fixing things that don’t need to be fixed. I never needed an alternator. The numbers were fine. But, I replaced it. They tell me I needed a battery when the one I had was brand new. And $1600 later, the problem is still not fixed. We came IN PERSON to Mercedes to speak with a manager and waited from 10:45p to 1:15p for no one to come out and address us. The assistant manager told my husband the manager would speak to him, once he finished with the customer he was with. Hours later they tell him he’s in a meeting, only because he inquired about the hours that had passed. We’ve left voicemails, and no one has called back to answer address these issues. I’ve taken off work, he’s taken off work. The issue is still open. I called today and left a message with the service manager, I have not gotten a response. I work in the school system and I can’t keep taking off just to drive down to Mercedes and not have resolution. More
