Dealer responded to my inquiry very fast - within 60 seconds!!! Vehicle, price and everything were as advertised. The transaction was smooth and communications were great via phone, email, and text messages. Aaron, the Internet person was great to deal with and even picked me up at the train station (I was an out-of-town buyer.) . Anastasia, the salesperson, was terrific, even phoned and texted on her days off! (Too bad we're both married!!!) The only downside was Steve in Finance - a nice guy, but a "typical" car dealership finance guy, who tried hard to up-sell me with thousands of $$$ of insurance and extended warranty offers. This gets a little old when you're down to signing all the papers with an agreed for price, and suddenly, the dealer confronts you with $5-10K "Oh by the way, you really ought to do this" additional cost. Car dealerships have a bad reputation - usually well deserved - for some of their business practices, which is why a lot of third party deal-making services (like Costco) have entered into the process. OK, Steve wanted me to sign up for a maintenance program with Honda - with phony savings based on a vastly inflated set of maintenance charges being used as a comparison. Maybe that's OK - if that's how Honda and the dealership wants to make their money off a slim-margin deal, but then he tried to pressure or scare me into signing up by saying if I didn't use Honda parts (like oil and oil filters) and Honda service, my Warranty would become VOID. I was pretty sure that was all B.S., and when I got home, I checked it out. Of course, it's totally untrue - in fact illegal under Federal law. That's why car dealers are .... well, car dealers. Overall, a great experience, nice car, excellent price, friendly people - except for the last little bit, which should not have happened. More
