Very poor service On Monday morning (8/17/15) I called to schedule a service appointment to have my rim looked at because I scraped it on a curb. The gal in the call c On Monday morning (8/17/15) I called to schedule a service appointment to have my rim looked at because I scraped it on a curb. The gal in the call center (I think her name was Maureen) said she would call one of the service advisors and see when the rim guy would be there next. When she got back on the phone she said I was in luck if I could come in that day because the rim guy was there. I told her I could come on my lunch break around Noon and she said that was fine because he usually doesn't leave until 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. I told her I had an hour round trip drive and I needed her to confirm he would be there when I arrived at Noon because I was taking time out of my work day. She put me on hold again and when she came back she said she had confirmed it with Keith and that I was good to go...she said just check in with Keith when I got there. When I arrived, Keith told me the rim guy had just left and he had no idea where he went or if/when he'd be back. I was very upset and explained to him that I had double confirmed my appointment with the gal over the phone. Keith seemed completely unapologetic and finally admitted to me that all he did to "confirm" my appointment was to yell to some of the guys in the shop to ask the rim guy to stick around because someone was coming in (he didn't speak with the rim guy directly and didn't even know his name or the company he was with!). Keith then handed me a business card of who he assumed was the rim guy and told me to just call him and schedule an appointment directly with him at another time. I had already wasted an hour of my work day and I was furious with Keith's apathy so I asked to speak with the Service Manager. Keith informed me he (Lee) was in an internal meeting and couldn't come out for a while. So in the meantime I called the phone number on the business card Keith gave me and the guy who answered said he was the manager of that rim repair shop but none of his guys were at the Gastonia dealership that day so it must have been another company. He also informed me that chrome rims really can't be repaired, they have to be re-plated and that the cost would be similar to just buying a whole new rim. Neither the gal in the call center nor Keith informed me of this and they knew I had chrome rims. Thus, I completely wasted about 2 hours of my work day when I could have just called the parts department and ordered a new rim. I traded voicemails with Lee, the Service Manager who was too busy to meet with me, but never did get in touch with him. I've been to that service department numerous times now and every single time they've messed something up, causing me additional trips. The entire service team displays an apathy towards customer service I've never seen before. My best friend is the Parts & Service Director for another dealership (Honda) and unless I absolutely have to go to Dodge, I will now go to her dealership for all of my future service needs on my Challenger because they offer such superior service. The Dodge dealership in Gastonia has completely lost my respect and service business. More

Ron Lovelace came up to my wife and me, introduced himself, and welcomed us to the dealership when we walked in. A very respectable person. It was like he knew us all of our lives. He introduced us to Danny Craig, one of their salesmen. Danny showed us around their dealership at vehicles they had on hand that we talked about possibly being interested in. At no time did he try to sales pressure us into any vehicle and at no time did he show any disinterest in what we might want or any decision that we might make. I would have not blamed him if he had, because I think we walked that entire lot looking at vehicles. All in all, the experience at Gastonia Chrysler was awesome and for that experience with the folks there, including Brandon Beck, we are now driving a new Jeep Latitude. It is an awesome vehicle and we are pleased with our decision to purchase this vehicle. The Salesman Gerald even came back in on his day off the next day just to let us test drive a few again and printed the window sticker so I could see things side by side to help me choose the right one.. Best experience! I first went to kia on South Blvd. They played me bad. I knew my credit wasn't great but they had me believe I couldn't get a good deal. The car was not there so I waiting for hours for my salesman to return with the kia..I was told it would only have 50 miles on it. When he did returned with the car it had 6000 miles on it.I told him I didn't want it! So he said I'll have what you want the next day. The next day came up, he tried to sell me the kia with 6000 miles. So I went to Chrysler Dodge in gastonia and met Steve Ross. Steve made me feel comfortable he made me feel like he been in my shoes and can relate to how i felt. It almost felt like we grew up together lol a very fun experience. What I like about Steve the most he was a honest sales man and down to earth I hope to do business with him in the future. More
