Took my truck in for the Ford tailgate recall and drivers door handle freezing. I asked how much it would cost to change the transmission filter & fluid and was given a quote for that. I agreed to that servi door handle freezing. I asked how much it would cost to change the transmission filter & fluid and was given a quote for that. I agreed to that service. When I saw the emailed work order it did not have the drivers door freezing on it. I called and they said they would add it. However, when I got the revised work order by email it still was not added. When I dropped off the truck, Anthony was helpful and he added the door freezing to the work order. When I picked up the truck, they said the tailgate latch was working properly and didn't need to be fixed according to the recall. It seems the recall is just a ploy to get the vehicle in so they can inspect the truck and tell you what else needs to be fixed. What was worse was the price for the transmission service was almost double what I was quoted. In hindsight I should have got the quote for the transmission service in writing. The one bright spot was that Anthony fixed the work order, explained everything well, was sympathetic to my situation, and gave a small discount on the transmission service. However, I won't be back. More
