Jeff never spoke to me about my trade in and what they were giving me for it. It wasn't until later that night afer I already signed all of the paperwork that I read that they were only giving me $8000 for my trade and $2200 of the negative equity was being rolled up into my new loan. I did ask Adam how much I was financing and he showed me the "total" afer the term of the loan, but he did not show me the itemized list showing I was paying x amount for the vehicle, x amount for the warranties, x amount for the negative equity. I felt very betrayed because why would I second guess him saying "we're giving you 10,200 for your trade...". I have had a long history of bad experiences with the McGrath dealerships. John (the old finance manager) got into a shouting match with me about the payment range on a vehicle and I felt he was going to assault me (kept me from buying a car). I tried another time and got close to 20 rejection letters from banks in the mail because McGrath had sent my information to banks trying to get me a loan (even after I decided to wait on a car after the first denial). The Westdale Used car superstore kept us there for over 4 hours and then used high pressure sales to pursuade me into buying a car that I didn't even want. The Kia dealership tried to do that to me this time as well. I wanted a brand new vehicle (2011 or 2012). They kept showing me cars from 2007 and 2008 and telling me that those were the cars that they would like me to consider (my translation of that was settle for). Overall, I will not be recommending that any of my family or friends buy a vehicle from McGrath's. I do have a few people that I dislike though that I may send your way. More
Gary Suby is a great guy to work with and I have enjoyed having him as my personal adviser whenever I want a vehicle, especially knowing how I feel about Pacificas! My daughter and her husband also like to having him as my personal adviser whenever I want a vehicle, especially knowing how I feel about Pacificas! I went a few extra miles out of the way looking for a good deal and McGraths definatly paid it foward.
