Had brake booster and sensor package replaced 11 mos ago, by your dealership, on 2008 Tahoe. Vehicle has been getting a "service brake system soon" on message center, (below speedometer), NOT a "check engin by your dealership, on 2008 Tahoe. Vehicle has been getting a "service brake system soon" on message center, (below speedometer), NOT a "check engine light". Brought Tahoe back in because parts are still covered under warranty. Service advisor did inform me that if the cause of indication was from one of the parts changed there would be no charge. If it was something else, there would be a diagnostic charge. Never received a call that vehicle was ready, but I had driven by the next day, late afternoon, and noticed it had been moved, so I stopped to inquire about it. I was informed that they couldn't find anything wrong, told that the computer can be kind of "touchy", so nothing was done, no answers, STILL charged $226! Only to be told, we can't do anything for you, LOL. I told my wife you guys would find a way to get something out of us, and you proved me right. I try at ALL costs to avoid dealerships. The ONLY reason I brought it back to you guys was because the parts are still under warranty, NEVER again! I'll continue to use the 2 independent shops in town that I have been using, they're honest, fair priced, do-good work, and give you that small town feeling with the personal attention you look for......in a small town. Ever wonder why these independent shops don't have to advertise, have the same customers they've had for years? Generations? Are so backed up and take a week or two to get into? It's because of experiences just like this. IF something had been done OR an explanation that led somewhere, I'd get the $226 charge. I may be wrong and a bit old school about the way I see it, but I'm not a company and would have handled it differently. I'm not bitter or mad, I just shake my head and move on, mostly because I knew better but came in anyway. More
