CIGARETTE SMOKE COVER UP! BEWARE!! I recently purchased a 2018 Certified Pre-Owned Accord Sport. My dream car! I was smiling from ear to ear driving off the lot. It was a short l I recently purchased a 2018 Certified Pre-Owned Accord Sport. My dream car! I was smiling from ear to ear driving off the lot. It was a short lived happiness. 48 hours later and there is that undeniable smell of stale cigarettes in the vehicle. Obviously the previous owner had smoked in the car and these folks thought they could cover it up! I returned the vehicle the very next day and they said they would fix it. They kept the car for 3 days and when I got it back there was absolutely no difference, it still had that awful smell. I went back again and this time demanded that if the smell could not be removed that I wanted the car replaced. I was promised, in writing, from the sales manager, George, that I would not be left high and dry and if they could not resolve the issue they would replace the vehicle. I have the emails from him CLEARLY stating this. Two weeks later (after trying in vain myself to rid the car of the smell) I called and demanded my situation be rectified. He of course then went back on his agreement (surprise surprise) by telling me that “you bought the vehicle during a recession (!!!) and now the prices of other similar replacement vehicles will be a lot more”. A mind blowing statement. He also tried to say that my 2 week old vehicle had now significantly depreciated in value and offered me an ELX Accord which would cost me 3-4k more if I wanted a replacement. The important thing to know with these guys is that even an agreement in writing means nothing to them. Now I’m left with a vehicle that I don’t even want to sit in, and a dealership who truly screwed me. Heart breaking to be treated this way. I strongly recommend you take your hard earned money elsewhere. More
