I walked into this dealership not knowing very much about the car I was interested in, and not really sure if I wanted to go with a Honda at all. After 30 years of buying my cars from individual owners or auctions I decided to try a dealership last week. Well, thanks to Paul Miller Honda in West Caldwell and specifically, Kim Hadden, my experience did not involve those negative aspects. Kim was very informative and knowledgeable about Hondas without any pressure present. He was very patient as I asked numerous questions and drove 4 different models on test drives with him. I ended up buying a certified pre-owned Civic . The price was very competitive and the warranty was great. Carlos Robles in finance was also pleasant to deal with and very informative. I also noticed they place was in the middle of renovating and being painted. Despite this, the entire operation seemed to function as smooth as could be. The general manager Carlos Cueto had his act together by supervising the construction while ensuring the customers were not inconvenienced during the process. Nice job overall. Moving to NJ from NYC, we found ourselves in the situation where we HAD to buy a car. Based on reviews we had read, we knew we wanted a HONDA. We had visited some other area Honda Dealerships, wit situation where we HAD to buy a car. Based on reviews we had read, we knew we wanted a HONDA. We had visited some other area Honda Dealerships, with the intent on buying a CR-V, we later selected the FIT. As soon as we walked in to Paul Miller Honda, we thought, "This is a FUN PLACE!" From the Liberace chandeliers to the free candy on the sales floor, we knew this would be a different experience than any other we had experienced. Lou Gentile was the sales person who approached us. He is very personable and gave us our space to "play around". He took us out in the CR-V and then the FIT. He helped us to figure out that the FIT was the better choice for us to go with. Lou worked really hard to match our budget and I believe we all walked away from the transaction satisfied. Lou continues to stay in touch with us on a personal basis, he sends us birthday wishes every year and even offered up some theater tickets last year that he was not going to use. The Service Department is very pleasant to work with, although we have not needed to go in for any repair work (simply using it for standard service). Just last week, I happily recommended the FIT to my neighbor and suggested that they work with Lou at Paul Miller Honda.
