I was recently in the market for a crossover SUV. I had visited several dealerships in the Jackson Metro area already (with mixed results) when I finally got down my list to a Subaru Forester. I arrived o More

I originally contacted this dealer because the state in which I live does not have a Subaru dealer and Paul Moak was the closest one to me - 2 hours away. I have a 2008 Subaru Outback which needed to have More

I took my Subaru for a service, they did an okay job, but the price was pretty high compared to other places. That wasn't my problem with them though. The problem was that they would not call me back at al More

John Scarbrough, VP of Paul Moak Subaru here. After investigating MySubaru's comments with my staff, I came to the conclusion that MySubaru was correct. We did not do as good a job as we could have in phoning this customer with progress reports throughout the day. We also did not have the opportunity to test drive this vehicle at interstate speeds after completing the service MySubaru asked us to do. Had we done that we would have noted the tire balance/alignment problem MySubaru noted as she drove home that night. Our company has since reimbursed MySubaru the expense she incurred to get her tires balanced/aligned. We have also recommitted ourselves to the importance of timely communication with customers who have trusted us with servicing their vehicle. Though transparent feedback via DealerRater can be tough to read at times, we do everything we can to get better after receiving it. Thanks for reading this review and for your interest in Paul Moak Subaru. Drive safely.

Here's a follow up to this story. After this horrific experience with this company, which was not the first terrible experience I have had with them - in fact, I wish I had been able to write a review of each time I had to take my car to Paul Moak for a service because there were two other times when I was outright lied to by this company. One time I wanted the Subaru security system installed into my car, they told me there was no such thing for my car - funny though, I had a GENUINE SUBARU SECURITY SYSTEM sitting in the box in the car at the time. I showed the guy and said, 'wow, then I wonder what THIS is". The time before that I was lied to about headlight covers. It's been evident from day one that Paul Moak knows as much about Subaru's as could be fit into a matchbox, without taking out the matches first. I have been trying to get them to fix an oil leak for the past several years and although I paid an exorbitant amount, the leak remained - even after they said they fixed it, they never did. So today I had to take my car there (and believe me, I did not want to), I had an appointment which they made with me, but when I got there they refused to work on my car. Some guy said I "cussed out" his boss (referring to the last time I had to go there, which this review was written about initially). Well, read the review for yourself, I didn't 'cuss him out' and I have all other email communications from that time as well to prove what I did or did not say. It was probably a case of me using 'big words' that they could not understand like, responsibility, honesty, ineptitude, etc. The fact is, Paul Moak do not like it when someone tells the bitter truth about their horrible lack of service. My initial response to their poor behavior seems to be justified. So much for their public response here, I can tell you it was not the same in private. As far as the 'drive safely' comment, Paul Moak Subaru FORCED me to drive in a potentially unsafe vehicle today. Why? Because they don't like it when you point out their screw ups and they are not really sorry for it, apart from being sorry they got called out.
