Poor Sales Service - Run Around I went to Pearson Hyundai on Midlothian Turnpike to discuss the price of an '18 Sonata. I had already test driven the car previously, so my sole purp I went to Pearson Hyundai on Midlothian Turnpike to discuss the price of an '18 Sonata. I had already test driven the car previously, so my sole purpose for the visit was to receive a price...I explained this fact to the salesman, Rick. I waited in the lobby for over an hour. After I'm sure Rick could tell I was beginning to wonder what was going on, he came back over to tell me he was waiting on a manager to come talk to me about pricing. I waited another 10-15 minutes for Kevin Holmes to come over. When Kevin came over, he began a spiel about the negative equity in my current car, which I had already explained to Rick, I was well aware of. I reminded Kevin that my inquiry only concerned the pricing of Pearson's vehicle, of which he provided none. When I asked Kevin (repeatedly) Pearson's best price, he childishly/unprofessionally parroted, "we can do what West Broad Hyundai can do. What price did they give you?" Annoyed, I reminded him that I had been in this dealership for over an hour (without a test drive) awaiting a price, and that I didn't have time for this back and forth/unprofessional game. He never provided Pearson's price. Switching topics from the childish game Kevin was playing, I finally asked what the value of my trade was, and he gave a number well under blue book and over $3,000 less than West Broad Hyundai, Honda, and Acura. As such, I grabbed my keys and left. I'm not sure if this is a tactic Kevin uses to cheat people, but it was a ridiculous waste of time which lost Rick and the dealership a sale. I've purchased from other sales personnel at this dealer twice in the past over the last 3 years. Perhaps they both lost it because neither could understand my clear inquiry of their best price. If poor service, wasted time, and a run around is your goal, this is the place. More
