Got a bad taste in my mouth when we went to look at a Subaru for purchase. The salesman was really pushy and trying to get pricing out of us so he could then jack up the price. And he did. After we purchased from the Rockwall Subaru (FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!!!) we could see what the Peltier tactics were. Shady. We had a needed repair so we took the car to Peltier. The communication was terrible. We took the car in on a Wednesday, and were told that they may have to order a part but that we would have the car on Friday. We heard nothing and called them numerous times to be told that they didn't know who are service agent was, or he's out but will call back (never did), or that he was busy. THE NEXT WEDNESDAY we had not heard from them, and finally just went there. The car was done. We were handed the keys and someone said "it's out there," pointed, and that was it. There was no mandatory walk around to assess the issue in the beginning, and there was no explanation as to what they did or didn't do to the car. Nobody apologized the 5 times we called them. Interestingly, we had a similar experience at the Kia Peltier. No communication at all. Everything was fine with our car, just routine checks and I got the car back and there was suddenly some weird horrible scraping noise when I turned the steering wheel. I took it right back in and they told me I would have to pay them $150 just to look at it and then more if they need to repair it. The monopoly they have here in Tyler makes them cocky and they know they can do anything, charge anything, and can get away with it. There's no other Subaru dealership to do the mandated maintenance checks unless you drive to Rockwall...which we will be doing next time. Not putting up with shady dealings. BAD! More
Service dept lost as to how I am to get my 2 free years of service, had to pay almost 150 dollars for something that should have been covered. The company lacks communication skills and professionalism. They don’t seem to care about people. It’s just a job to them. The work that was performed at this dealership seems to be good work. We had our seal to our driver window replaced due to gumming and not allowing window to roll up freely. Having only dealt with the repair side of Peltier Subaru, I can say that I am pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and concern exhibited by the service writers. Top notch for sure. Each of my visits ha I can say that I am pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and concern exhibited by the service writers. Top notch for sure.
