We had previously purchased and Range Rover Sport from this dealer 4 years ago. It was absolutely the best purchasing experience ever. We picked out the car, went through a test drive, negotiated the price of the new car and trade in, signed the papers and were out of there less than two hours. The salesman handled everything himself. Never saw the manager or had to go finance office to sign the papers. He brought everything himself to his office. He demonstrated the features on the car himself.
I went back last week when we were considering a new Range Rover HSE. Met with John Sanderson who showed me the car I was interested in. Offered a test drive, which I declined as I didn't have the time that day and I wanted my husband to look at it too. He did take the time to discuss the lease offers if I wanted to go that way. We came in the next day, a Saturday morning, and unfortunately John had the weekend off. but he had arranged for us to meet with another salesman. So we met with Rene Acevedo. Rene was very friendly, professional and helpful. The negotiations and purchase went fairly smoothly.
There were a few things I did have a problem with. The test drive we were offered was only a block long, on on street that had a sign "No Test Drives". His excuse was that there wasn't enough gas to further than one block, although the gauge said it had almost 1/4 tank.
The second problem was the time we spent waiting. Waiting for the deal to be approved. Waiting to get into the finance dept. Waiting for the car to be washed up etc. Unlike the prior purchase, we spent at 4 1/2 hours before we got out of there with at least 3 1/2 hours spent just standing around waiting. Now, in their defense, it was very busy last Saturday and they were getting ready to close early for their holiday party. That's the only reason I'm giving them four stars instead of three.
