If you want to be treated like an idiot this is the place to go. They will switch salesmen and sales managers back and forth, all the time one will tell you one thing and then the other will tell you somethi to go. They will switch salesmen and sales managers back and forth, all the time one will tell you one thing and then the other will tell you something else and in the end all their statements were not true and flatout misleading. We did purchase a new 2011 Taraus from them but only after finding out the one closest to what we wanted was the only one in the state and they had already locked it up from another dealer. They would not use our discount X-Plan. We were told that since this was our third Ford purchase we qualified for the Ford Preferred Customer 1.9% financing but when they switched finance representitives we were told that they could only get us 3.9% financing even though we have triple A credit rating. After signing the contract we were walked out to the car and one person set up the sync system but had difficulty setting the clock. A second person set the clock up and then everyone walked away. At this point we felt that once we had signed the contract they were done now get off my lot. No one did a walk through showing us the features on this vehicle or fill out the delivery checklist with us. Not one feature was shown to us, not even the spare tire in the trunk. Everything we learned about the car we read in the owners manual. We were told we had the 6 CD changer but learned later that this was a single CD player. We were even told that if we sent a customer in and they purchased a vehicle we would receive $100.00 (Finders Fee). During the time of us waiting for our car to be delivered our nephew went in and bought a vehicle. When I questioned them about the finders fee I was then told that I had to send the buyer to the same salesman and therefore I did not qualify. I called and spoke with I believe all four sales managers and the general manager about the misleading statements, lack of a walk around and the way we were treated and I got the same general consensus from each of them, they did not understand what I expected from them and they did not understand what my problem was. I just wish I had read the other reviews before I went to Peoria Ford, you can bet I would have gone to another dealer. More
This Dealer is a good one! They seem to really care about the customer and sell cars. WOW what a concept, more dealers should take notes! All the employees were great. Mike is a GREAT guy to talk to and deal the customer and sell cars. WOW what a concept, more dealers should take notes! All the employees were great. Mike is a GREAT guy to talk to and deal with. We ALWAYS Hated going to car dealers, but everyone made it a very enjoyable experiance, kinda the way its supposed to be.I went in looking to maybe buy a used truck and ended up with a new one for a better price. I've been buying cars for awhile and even worked for a dealer for 8 years, I tell you this is the place to go... More
I am in an open BK so getting a vehicle has been extremely difficult. After being treated poorly at several dealerships I was losing hope quickly. I decided to stop by Peoria Ford to see about a vehicle that they had on their lot that would work for my family and be easier to get approved. When I got to the dealership I talked to Justin and Anthony and told them my situation and why I was looking into that vehicle. Justin told me that it would be easier to get approved after the BK discharged but that he was willing to look into it to see what he could do. Anthony and Justin came back to me a few minutes later and asked me if I would be interested in a newer vehicle that was a lot nicer than the one I was initally looking at. I was hesitant at first because the vehicle wasn't a favorite color of mine. I mentioned to Justin that another dealership had an Expedition that was the same year but a color I would prefer to have. He sent Keith over to look at the vehicle and unfortunately it didnt have a third row which is a must for my family. When they informed me that the seat was missing I looked at the vehicle they had on their lot and honestly it was much better than the one I was looking at. This one was the top of the line while the other one was the basic model. They dropped the price several thousands of dollars and made the deal work out great for my family. I am very pleased with the amount of effort they put into getting me into a vehicle. They treated my family like we mattered. I felt very comfortable during the whole process. The entire day was spent at the dealership and we had five kids with us so it was a little stressful but it was worth it. We are looking to trade our car in for an F150 and will definitely go to Peoria Ford. My uncle knows about our experience and is aware of how bad we were treated at other dealers and he said he too will be going to them soon. More
I went in to this dealership looking for an upgrade on my 2004 Chevy Avalanche. This truck was in excellent condition, had brand new 22" inch rims and brand new tires. I was very clear to them that I wasn't willing to part with this truck unless I fell in love with another vehicle. I found a 2010 Dodge Charger which was very nice that I was willing to negotiate on. I agreed to $19,900 for this Charger and 10,500 for my trade in that never happened! When my mom went in the following day with me to co-sign they raised the price of the car to $23,900. When I asked them why the price change Scott in finance jumped down my throat, and made my mom very uncomfortable. When I started arguing with him Ian ( Internet Mgr) came over and confused my mom into signing. I came in the following day to discuss contract with mgr ( name ?) and Jerry Traux. Car sticker said it had power seats, premium sound, and alarm which were false and I wanted my truck back. They yelled at me, told me too bad we should of never signed and they would would give me $300 if I got the hell out! This is been the worst experience of my life, and I had to fight for 3 weeks to get that check. Also they didn't put my name on contract so now I have to go through my co-signer for everything. More
They DO NOT listen... We purchased a new 2011 Escape They DO NOT listen... We purchased a new 2011 Escape in July. This was supposed to be a simple D-plan purchase, but turned into harassment when the finance rep refused to accept our repeated declines on the overpriced optional warranty/service packages. After being unnecessarily detained for hours, and putting up with their high pressure tag-team approach, we were finally able to finalize the paperwork and get out of the office. We were about to get on the way with our new vehicle when we had to go back into the office to request a completed "We Owe" form for missing mats and the combination code for the keyless entry. We are still waiting on delivery of these items. We had been pre-approved with our Credit Union before going to the dealership, but the finance rep talked us out of this. He offered a slightly lower rate through a different bank which we refused. We made it very clear, not once, but three times that this particular bank was not one we were willing to accept. The rep then offered the same rate with another bank which we reluctantly agreed too. Days later we learned that our loan was being shopped to three different financial institutions, including the one we refuse. We quickly called the dealership to try to stop this stage of the financing before it as too late, but repeated messages went unreturned. A week later we got a call from the Sales Manager who wanted to thank us for our purchase. After expressing our concerns regarding the financing, we were passed off to the Finance Manager. He informed us the loan was funded by the bank we were trying to avoid. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with this he passed us off to the original finance rep (yes, the one who would not listen to us to begin with), who was worthless. The bank has since informed me that the loan can still be canceled, but the request must come from the dealership. The dealer has refused to take any action and will not return my calls. More
Be VERY VERY cautious if you do business with this dealer. During the "negotiating" of the deal we explained exactly what we wanted and how much we could afford. We stuck to our guns. They did not hav dealer. During the "negotiating" of the deal we explained exactly what we wanted and how much we could afford. We stuck to our guns. They did not have one in stock but could get one from the rail yard. It had more options than we wanted but if they could make the new payment amount would we take it. We were shown the window sticker with the options, finance manager left came back and took the "window sticker" showed it then very quickly folded it and wrote numbers. He said if we can make this deal on this car would we sign? Heck yes we got upgraded options for close to the price we wanted. we decided for the upgrades it was worth the higher p[ayment. When the car came in it was nothing like what we had dicussed and when we confronted them, they got VERY defensive the showed me the paper work they did the numbers on. They switched the window sticker, remember the quick fold and number writing I mentioned? After 3 hours of arguing with them and told them quit insulting our inteligence the finance manager looked like he wanted to fight. Got real red and then told me I was calling him a liar and he does not like to be called a liar. Well sir you are very correct. One of us was lieing and it was NOT me and my wife. Peoria Ford did a very classic bait and switch. I am fileing a complaint with the BBB with all the names and proof. Please please do not fall for the folded over paper trick. If you agree to a price make sure you unfold the paper and look at the options. I suggest initialing by the VIN number. Never do business with this dealer. They are bu far the worst dealer have ever don business with. Funny part the same car same VIN number was listed on the web for $1000 less then what they wanted us to pay. BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!! More
Watch out ladies. They are very rude to ladies and will talk down to you. Don't try to take a minute to think about buying because they will get mad at you. I went over to Power Chevy and they did not do a talk down to you. Don't try to take a minute to think about buying because they will get mad at you. I went over to Power Chevy and they did not do any of that write on a paper with a sharpie BS. They gave me the bottom line (printed out)and I really liked that. Ford had me feeling so bad about having to think that I wanted to cry. I don't know how these people go home and sleep at night. I actually was going to go back there after I had a chance to sleep on it, but after the way they talked to me, forget it. More
Our overall sales experience was wonderful. We really enjoyed our salesman Mark Davis and his manager Rob Murray. We purchased a 2011 Ford Edge it is a great product with all of the bells and whistles. W enjoyed our salesman Mark Davis and his manager Rob Murray. We purchased a 2011 Ford Edge it is a great product with all of the bells and whistles. We found out about the store through the internet and called in and it was a smooth process from that moment on. I would like to say it's been a breathe of fresh air doing business with Peoria Ford and highly recommend them and would refer my friends and family and we're going to buy a Focus for our daughter and we're going to continue to do business with them for our future vehicles.
