Best Car Buying Experience! I used to work at Peoria Ford and when my boyfriend was looking to buy a car I knew that was the place to go. Other dealers told him he needed 3k down, Peoria Ford had him leave with a 2014 Ford Escape with ZERO down. My friend Tessie Wilson was his salesperson and Gary Shand worked the deal. Sales staff are pushy, dishonest, and leave you regretful. BUYER BEWARE!!! This is the typical sleazy dealer experience that people warn you of. Once you purchase from them, you are just a number, not a client BUYER BEWARE!!! This is the typical sleazy dealer experience that people warn you of. Once you purchase from them, you are just a number, not a client. Once I signed my papers, customer service went out the window. I spent hours being sold a warranty after telling them multiple times, I just wanted to buy the car and nothing more. It was 11pm before I could even leave the dealer. The next day I noticed the gas tank was never filled, there was a burned out brake bulb, and there were several dealer inventory stickers on the roof of my car. When I returned to the dealer, they basically told me where I could go. Seriously? I bought a $20,000 car and they couldn't put $20 in the tank and remove their own inventory stickers? I am surprised that a dealer would be willing to treat a customer that way over such little concerns. They even called me to clear up a billing concern and offered to fill my tank if I stopped in. Despite having a recorded message of the offer, they again decided to scam me out of it. While I admittedly love my new car, I would NEVER recommend anyone do business with this dealer. I should have done my research before ever walking through the door. More
Incompetent or Dishonest - Did not accurately describe the tow capacity of Truck - 2 out of 3 salespeople, I saw, were not knowledgeable about the Truck - Allowed me to dr - Did not accurately describe the tow capacity of Truck - 2 out of 3 salespeople, I saw, were not knowledgeable about the Truck - Allowed me to drive from Tucson under false pretenses - Above average fees Background: I'd been in communication with sales staff prior to making the long haul from Tucson. They assured me that the new Truck, on sale, had the right equipment to tow the amount I required. I knew the website had erroneous information (since it listed the truck as having a v6 and v8), so I made sure to email and confirm the tow capacity. Unfortunately, she never confirmed the tow capacity, but made me think she did. Then, in person, the 1st salesman tells me that the vehicle could tow what I required. It wasn't till negotiating the price, and getting close on agreeing on a price, that the 2nd salesman (who was trying to wear me down) noticed that the truck couldn't tow as much as I wanted (only reason I give two stars). After 3 hrs in the dealership, it all comes to a stop knowing that the truck could never meet my needs. In an attempt to make a sale, the salesperson found a second truck that had the correct tow capacity same XLT model. Somehow, this 2nd truck had $1200 in additional options, but the dealers price was $10k more than the price of the original truck with everything else being equal(except color). I didn't stay to find out why or how $1200 worth of options increased the truck's net price $10k. I think they were done negotiating with me. At face value, the people are curteous... but lack of product knowledge can end up costing time and money. More
