Bought a car on Friday.... it’s Sunday and it won’t start... I’m pretty frustrated at this point.. I was in a better situation with my 17 year old accord. Now I’m stuck with this lemon. Edit: 12/23/19 Spoke with Dave and he understood my frustrations and assured me that things will be taken care of. I pointed out another issue that I have and was assured again that he will make sure I’m taken care of. I’ll edit this post once things are resolved. I’ve been a customer here for over 20 years and don’t want that to change. Edit 1/21/20: issues were resolved but other things were called out that needed attention (no surprise there). My advice would be to be diligent in inspecting used vehicles. More

When I went to the dealership, he showed me what I had requested, answered questions, took me on a test drive of a new Honda Fit, and discussed my preferences. Returning to the lot, he asked whether I would like to see an Accord or a Civic, noting that the Accord comes with a manual only in sport models, which I ruled out for price — $30k or so for what I'd want. He then showed me a Civic sedan, manual, about $3,000 more than the Fit, and I drove it a short drive, much preferring it to the smaller and less peppy Fit. He got a trade price for my 2008 Subaru Legacy that I considered fair, closed the sale, transferred my plates, and had me on my way in just a few hours. Amit Kumar processed the financing, also making the task easy. He tried gently to sell me extended warranty service, and I accepted some of his suggestions, but neither he nor Mr. Overstreet used pressure. I had done my homework before visiting, knew what I needed to ask, knew the price range, and was ready to decide, but Perfornamce Honda and John Overstreeet made the process easier than I expected. Everyone knows about buyer's remorse. I have the opposite. Two days after buying the car, I have a feeling of satisfaction and pleasure at having made a good deal with people I can respect and like.
