Tony Baxter was very professional and explained the vehicles we were considering. It ws easy to determine our vehicle of choice and our car shopping began. Having chosen the Pilot, he was helpful and truthful in the buying process. It was easy to buy a car from Kings Honda. After closing my wife discovered she had left her CD's in the trade-in. received a trade allowance of 20k, only after calling a relative from a nearby dealsership to guarrantee the price; same vehicle is now listed on dealer's website for just under 29k--obviously a bad decisi relative from a nearby dealsership to guarrantee the price; same vehicle is now listed on dealer's website for just under 29k--obviously a bad decision on my part to allow such a disparity in value. sure it may not sell for listing price and dealer has to pay the cost of doing business and make a profit, but this proves they under-valued my trade unreasonably. secondly, i was left for huge chunks of time while the salesman went back and forth between me and management. this was blamed on a computer software issue, but cannot be attributed entirely to that problem. third, i have received 3 automated emails so far to which i have attempted to address these issues, and have yet to receive a reply. i cannot recommend anyone to this type of dealer unless, like me, the dealer has the precise vehicle that is being sought and the customer is willing to tolerate the aggravation to get it. finally, some personal property left in my trade, two remote openers, have still not been returned to me despite my prompt request. I called and had an agreed on price and gave a retainer to bring in. I did not order $166.00 mud guards but they had to charge me. The dealership was out of brochures, Honda's website did not state to expect this and there was no option for leather armrests. Honda corporate did say that was disclosed in brochure. When I spoke with the saleman the next day I was told to wait until his classes were over and perhaps he should have handed the problem to the manager. I did e-mail the GM and he called. I told him I wanted to deal with him on this issue. He promised me he would call me back shortly. I'm still waiting for the phone call. I finally got a call at 5:30 from my salesman who told me they would sell me another upgraded Accord for another $3000 or he would have the armrests covered for only $200.00 more. Financing person offered me a $598???warranty which I had no real details on or anything in writing with full disclosure of what that was about. I was told about a coating for my new car to keep the paint in good conditon. I really like Larry who was my salesperson. I honestly think this experiance is from a lack of product knowledge/training, stupidity by the engineer who would mix leather and have fabric, but mostly the general manager who can't follow up and pushes problems off on his sales people when requested by his customer not to and breaks promises to call me back. I was also told at an early point that this car came with 3 years of oil changes and it does not. This took up 2-1/2 days of my time and was not a pleasant experiance in buying. The dealership lived up to a "car salesman" reputation. There has been thank you e-mails and a follow up from a nice young lady who works for the dealership which was nice. I will have to say on a positive note that I do like my Accord SE now that it's finished properly and not half assed. More
