Ram 3500 Transmission Troubles I bought a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually from Perkins Dodge. I was pretty happy with the truck. At 50,000 miles my transmission failed. I asked for a new I bought a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually from Perkins Dodge. I was pretty happy with the truck. At 50,000 miles my transmission failed. I asked for a new transmission but was told Chrysler would only let them rebuild it. Perkins rebuilt my transmission and 28,000 miles it failed again. I asked again for a new transmission and Chrysler once again said that they would only rebuild it. Since the last rebuild, I have been back 3 more times for transmission leaks and it is currently there. Once after a rebuild is enough, but 3? It has been in the shop for transmission issues for over 30 days total in the last 2 years and my driveway is stained with transmission fluid and everywhere I park. I have tried to call customer service and left messages and feel that everything is falling on deaf ears from Perkins. They tell me that they are going to look into it and then I don't hear back from them. I am also getting the same from Chrysler with whom I have an open case. It is more than obvious that this transmission is a lemon but no one seem to care except me and my family. My family and I have all but lost confidence in our truck and are scared to death to haul our camper or horses into the mountains for fear that it will fail again. We truly feel that both Perkins and Chrysler are waiting for it to go out of warranty so that we will be stuck with the problem and they can wash their hands clean of it. I am sorely disappointed with the transmission, Chrysler and Perkins. I feel that I have no recourse but to seek legal help but I doubt that will do any good. More
