Buying Experience I've always been a Dodge/Chrysler fan since my first car at the age of 16. I've had my Dodge Caravan for 10 years and it had 164000 miles on it. I tho I've always been a Dodge/Chrysler fan since my first car at the age of 16. I've had my Dodge Caravan for 10 years and it had 164000 miles on it. I thought I would be able to drive it for at least 6 months but my husband kept telling me it was time. "Time for what". I asked. He said it was time to trade "Sasha" in. My heart sunk because I was not ready. We searched and eventually went to CarMax and found the vehicle that I wanted but not at the price they were asking. So we drove to Perkins Motor where we met Darryl "Champ" Champion. After talking with him, we immediately felt comfortable in his presence. We told him what we were looking for and he found two vehicles he thought we might be interested in. When he brought the first vehicle, I was happy to see that it was the same vehicle I saw at CarMax but at a price I could work with. We test drove the vehicle and was automatically sold. Mr. Champion worked expediently to complete the sales process. He walked us through each step and kept us inform at all times. Any questions or concerns we had, he was able to answer right away which put us at ease. I was blown away when he told us that we will drive our new vehicle of the lot that night. I just knew it was going to take two days. By the time the whole process was complete, I was satisfied. Mr. Champion's customer loyalty is applauded. We forgot items in our old vehicle and had it in a bag, ready and waiting. Whatever concerns we had with our new vehicle, he took care of it right away. Thanks, to the Perkins Motor Team. Terrible Experience The funny thing about customer service is that you can mandate all the automatic emails and follow-up phone calls that attempt to show that you care a The funny thing about customer service is that you can mandate all the automatic emails and follow-up phone calls that attempt to show that you care about the customer, but in the end, they mean nothing unless each and every one of your employees understands and actually believes in its purpose. The employees at this dealership could clearly care less about the customer, and I'm not sure if that is a result of the high volume of sales that give them a perception that it doesn't matter or if the management is simply very poor. Perkins needs to realize that although they sell products, a majority of what they do is provide a service, and If they don't provide that service well, they will lose customers. In our experience, they lost the potential for a lifetime customer because they failed miserably in servicing our vehicle, displaying any sense of urgency in fixing the problem, and after threatening to leave the dealer and sell the vehicle, they did absolutely nothing to show that they wanted to retain our business and prevent a total loss. If I ever choose to get back into one of the brands they sell, it will undoubtedly be with another dealer! If you are writing a positive review about them, wait until you have an issue with your vehicle. I believe that there is a strong possibility that you will retract your review.
