I h would not start. I call Phillip Chevrolet on Monday, December 23rd. I talked with John Hayes and he reassured me that everything will be fine. I had my blazer towed to Phillips and stayed. John found out the problem and noticed that it was the same problem I had repaired last year (Ridgeway previous). He stated to me that he would have to make some calls. This resulted in me not being charged for the repair. I thanked John. While waiting, hours passed. I talked with many employees. They were nice and considerate. Sam Bridgewater said that my blazer was running but not to the capacity that they wanted. Sam offered me a rental vehicle. Sam and Bruno took time to explain to me about the modern car. I thanked them. I was taken care of at Phillip Chevrolet. I was not on the schedule but John squeezed me in. A rental car was offered to me for the holidays. When I'm able I will purchase my new car from Phillip Chevrolet. This is why I have given the rating I gave. More
I cames to this dealership all the time for oil change which was under $20 which Sam quoted 21.95 which is what I've always paid and is fined but upon paying for the service I got home and realize I was c which was under $20 which Sam quoted 21.95 which is what I've always paid and is fined but upon paying for the service I got home and realize I was charged 33.23 if Sam was honest with the price I would've denied service and went to jiffy lube or some place cheaper .....smh I miss Ridgeway and the way the handle things. Had a 13:00 appointment today this issue was not resolve thanks Sam. More

I've recently purchased a Chevy Cruze from a different dealership and had to bring the car to a Chevy dealer for servicing. I also had a few recalls on the vehicle. I called Phillips Chevy and s different dealership and had to bring the car to a Chevy dealer for servicing. I also had a few recalls on the vehicle. I called Phillips Chevy and spoke to John Hayes. He was soo nice and reassuring over the phone. I was able to get a quick appt. Once I get there my experience was even better. The dealership was clean, all the people were polite and I felt right at home. Well, the car had to stay over night and John arranged for me to be driving home and picked up first thing in the morning. John made my experience extremely comforting. No other dealer but Phillips will service my car from now on. More

Since purchasing my 2010 Camaro 2SS ( and owning various Chevy products over the years) I have run the gammut of Chevrolet dealers within my region. Dissatisfaction through price, worksmanship, and customer Chevy products over the years) I have run the gammut of Chevrolet dealers within my region. Dissatisfaction through price, worksmanship, and customer service have common threads. I'm usually very cynical when dealing with anything automotive; having intermediate knowledge of working on my cars & a background working at dealerships, I'm aware of the smoke and mirrors some places use to sell customers on services that may be unnecessary. I have yet to encounter this at Ridgeway/Phillips. I've used them in the past on my other vehicles and thought I would give their service department a chance once again. I'm glad that I did! John has been my writer and has been very helpful and courteous. He has gone to bat for me on various warranty issues that involved intermittent/faulty parts to reccomending an extended GM Smart Care warranty for my troubled mechanical history. As the old adage states, "don't buy a vehicle that was built on a friday or monday." Well, this 2010 Camaro must have been one of those hexed cars. John has been a stand-up guy on working through my plight and remedying the problem every time. Car washes with every service and getting picked up/dropped off by porters on days I can't spend a chunk of time sitting in the waiting area. Long story short, I've been impressed and they've earned my business as long as I own a Chevy. More

I took my vehicle a 2009 Chevrolet Aveo in for repairs because It did not pass the emissions test. I had previously took it to another repair shop that looked at it and could not figure out what was wrong because It did not pass the emissions test. I had previously took it to another repair shop that looked at it and could not figure out what was wrong with it and needed to do further diagnostic to find out the exact problem. They told me that they were closing and I could leave it (which was not an option at the time) or bring it back and the $70 that they charged they charged me for that bit of information would be deducted from the repair costs if they repaired the car. They stated that they would have to look up the layout of the car and have it so that they would be able to better pin point the problem and cut down on the labor cost. My husband suggested taking it to the dealership because they would already have that information and specialize in that make and model. Reluctantly I took it. I was worried that taking it to the dealer would cost me so much more. I purchased the car from Ridgeway Chevrolet which is now Phillips Chevrolet in Lansing, IL. After about 1 hour the dealer called me and explained what was wrong and gave me the cost of fixing the car. I was amazed! They went out of there way to get GM to fix the car although the warranty was recently up and I only had to pay a deductable. I was so pleased because it is around the holidays and I can definately use any extra cash I can save. Love Phillips and they will not be my second choice for repairs from now on. My service consultant Bruno Avila was great! More
