Phillips Chevrolet of Lansing - Service Center

I took my vehicle a 2009 Chevrolet Aveo in for repairs because It did not pass the emissions test. I had previously took it to another repair shop that looked at it and could not figure out what was wrong because It did not pass the emissions test. I had previously took it to another repair shop that looked at it and could not figure out what was wrong with it and needed to do further diagnostic to find out the exact problem. They told me that they were closing and I could leave it (which was not an option at the time) or bring it back and the $70 that they charged they charged me for that bit of information would be deducted from the repair costs if they repaired the car. They stated that they would have to look up the layout of the car and have it so that they would be able to better pin point the problem and cut down on the labor cost. My husband suggested taking it to the dealership because they would already have that information and specialize in that make and model. Reluctantly I took it. I was worried that taking it to the dealer would cost me so much more. I purchased the car from Ridgeway Chevrolet which is now Phillips Chevrolet in Lansing, IL. After about 1 hour the dealer called me and explained what was wrong and gave me the cost of fixing the car. I was amazed! They went out of there way to get GM to fix the car although the warranty was recently up and I only had to pay a deductable. I was so pleased because it is around the holidays and I can definately use any extra cash I can save. Love Phillips and they will not be my second choice for repairs from now on. These gentlemen are a great asset to Phillips Chevrolet in Lansing. Due to my work schedule I never know from day to day what time I will be finished with work, so it is hard to schedule an appointment ah in Lansing. John Hayes was able to get my vehicle serviced within an hour of my getting off of work. I have been dealing with John Hayes and Jim Gerba for many years when it was Ridgeway Chevrolet. They have always provided me with great service. Jim is very knowledgeable, precise, and neat in his work. Bob Van is always very friendly and is customer oriented. I am glad these gentlemen are still a part of this dealership even after the name change. More

Sam was very friendly and informative. Service was done in a very timely manner. Was able to get in on a Saturday in the morning when I called on a Friday. I may have to reconsider going elsewhere to get an oil change and service for now on because of the high prices they charge. I had previously heard of Phillips Chevrolet at their original Frankfort, IL location and knew they were a large dealership with a good reputation. However, when I found out they had taken over my forme original Frankfort, IL location and knew they were a large dealership with a good reputation. However, when I found out they had taken over my former dealership, Ridgeway Chevrolet, I was surprised and skeptical as well. Bruno Avila and the rest of the service folks at the brand new Phillips dealership put all of that to rest once and for all. I was very impressed by all of the service and help that I received that I had become accustomed to from all of my years of dealing with Bob and his team. The dealership is very impressive with a much improved inventory, and the service and parts people went out of their way to get me and my awesome 2011 Malibu taken care of.
