Women Buyers Be Aware of TOXIC Masculinity! I read that women buy 54% of cars in the US and influence 85% of the vehicle purchase decisions. Yet, most women, including myself, dread the car buy I read that women buy 54% of cars in the US and influence 85% of the vehicle purchase decisions. Yet, most women, including myself, dread the car buying experience because women are often ignored, patronized and just plainly ripped off. Even informed and savvy women often receive different treatment from men and have a harder time getting what they want. Even though more women are obtaining a bachelor's degree and higher than men (36% compared to 28% according to a report released by the Institute for Women's Policy Research), women earn $0.81 for every dollar men earned by men and toxic masculinity remains as a cultural norm. I recently encountered toxic masculinity from a Sales Manager and General Sales Manager at Pinnacle Nissan in Scottsdale, Arizona. The pre-owned vehicle I purchased came with two keys. It turned out that one of the keys belong to another vehicle and the dealer initially refused the replaced the missing key. This is a list of comments I received: We made a mistake. We do not have two keys for that car. 1. What would you want me to do about it? 2. Show me in writing that says this car has two keys. 3. I will pay you the dealer cost for the new key. 4. No, I will not pay for the new key. You can return the car. During these conversations, these managers were patronizing and often talked over me. I repeatedly told the General Sales Manager not to talk over me, and he should wait his turn. Subsequently, he called me rude and said he will hang up the phone. When I expressed that I will share my experience of this encounter that consists of unprofessionalism and poor customer service from Pinnacle Nissan , the General Sales Manager said "don't threaten me". I took the offer to return the car "over a key", as the General Sales Manager put it. Then, he paused, and must have came to a realization that I had a key that belongs to a car in his lot. He said I need to give back the key, and I declined to do so until I have a replacement. Then, he immediately softened his tone and said that he did not hear me say that I have a key that belongs to another car, the dealer made a mistake, and he will order a key at no cost to me. According to Pinnacle Nissan 's website, they care about customer experience and want feedback in areas they are doing well and areas they need to improve. So here it is: 1. Treat women with respect - do not patronize and talk over women. 2. Do not waste people's time by being argumentative and patronizing. 3. Do the right thing. 4. Keep your words by honoring them. I cannot imagine that the cost of a key for a dealer such as Pinnacle Nissan would break their bank. Was this a good business decision to save a few dollars and waste one of your customer's time and energy along with a public posting of this embarrassment? More
Avoid This dealership like Covid-19 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-𝟭𝟵 - Do not take your vehicle here for 𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-𝟭𝟵 - Do not take your vehicle here for 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, I called Pinnacle Nissan and spoke to 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐢 in the service department about my vehicle getting hot. I let him know that it is running at 240 degrees and he said it is normal. I let him know that normal operating temperature is 185-205 and he argued with me saying that 240 degree is not overheating and it is normal after this escalating I asked to speak to his supervisor. His supervisor said that normal operating temperature is 190-202 so he doesn't know why Billy would say 240 is normal. I was also bringing in my 2019 Titan for a recall and possibly to trade it in on a new vehicle, but now I will take my business elsewhere. This isn't the first time that this dealership has burnt me so hopefully I learned my lesson this time. More
No integrity. Sales misleads then does’t return phone calls. Vehicles are fine but this dealer is below norms for honest and fair dealing. Do not recommend. calls. Vehicles are fine but this dealer is below norms for honest and fair dealing. Do not recommend. More
Bait and Switch Verbal deal on 2020 Kicks SR agreed to with Sales Manager Cory and confirmed by text with Stephanie for specified payment and term of 72 months. When Verbal deal on 2020 Kicks SR agreed to with Sales Manager Cory and confirmed by text with Stephanie for specified payment and term of 72 months. When my wife I arrived at the dealer, Tristan and Stephanie had changed the terms to 84 months. My very disappointed wife and I got up and left. So after two weeks of going back and forth and arriving at a deal this is how it ended. I thought I was a good customer based on the fact that I purchased a 2020 370Z CASH in September of 2019...?? To make matters worse this situation occurred at the height of the coronavirus crisis in our country. My wife and I most venerable due to our age made the trip to the dealership in good faith and this was the result. All I can say is that in about 60 days this dealership is going to wish they had a $10,000 cash down deal like this. Seems Pinnacle has a history of this kind of behavior and probably something the Arizona Attorney Generals office needs to be aware of. More

Worst car buying experience I've had in 47 years. They have a sales manager named Jack, whose picture does not appear, who is a rude, pompous xxx, has no customer skills, attempted a bait and switch o They have a sales manager named Jack, whose picture does not appear, who is a rude, pompous xxx, has no customer skills, attempted a bait and switch on a car not on the lot, then neglected to follow up with the deal in the absence of the salesman (Mitch). We had even given them a $5,000 down-payment. The man could not sell ice water to people in xxxx. Long story short - we did not buy a car there, went down the street to Van Chevy and bought a NEW vehicle 2 days later. For the record, the general manager, No-picture Charles Cashan had an opportunity to step in and didn't. Mitch, the salesman, is a nice guy and has no support management. When this info gets out, and it will, Mitch will probably be the fall guy. I don't trust them. More
A huge disappointment - do not buy from this dealership! Do not buy from this Dealership. I was a serious buyer from Los Angeles, I got in touch with a sales man named Mark Bova and a Manager Called Alex San Do not buy from this Dealership. I was a serious buyer from Los Angeles, I got in touch with a sales man named Mark Bova and a Manager Called Alex Sanchez and begun the process to purchase a Nissan Armada. I filled out 2 applications, they ran my wife credit and even gave him my credit card numbers to complete the purchase. After a couple of days of doing everything I get an email not even a courtesy call from Alex stating that the sold the vehicle to somebody else. Now, we have an inquiry on our credit report for absolutely nothing. We have a big family and when we found the Armada on Auto Trader we were so excited to finally get a vehicle that would meet our needs as a family. We were already planning trips to the snow and possible doing a beach trip to Pismo. What a huge disappointment. More
