Filed insurance claim all going well except they had vehicle in shop for 30 days. OK , that worked he had rental. Now the issues happen. All of a sudden can't align wheels, 2 parts corroded, NOT covered under lifetime warranty - $900 SURPRISE!! Fine, i paid it from Buffalo and my son picks up truck. No Spare?? He brought in a new Spare wheel & tire. Well service tells him he didn't bring any in, well they went back and forth, guess what.. there was the wheel in the box right there on the counter, where's the tire - ON THE TRUCK!! What happened to the one insurance bought? So he just wants to get out of there before something else happens. He goes out to the truck and there this plastic sticking out steering column?? hmmmm he drives away, guess what the truck is in safety mode, won't go over 30. .WHAT?? Suddenly it needs a Clock switch in the steering column..What $580!! Dealer says it was like that when he brought it in - no way the truck has 190K mi of trouble free driving. If that was the case why didn't they see that at alignment when they played with steering wheel or did they cause it?? Awful, now it occasionally acts up - contacting Chrysler. Sent General manager Priority letter. Delivered 12 days ago NO Response. Funny thing was the service guy kept hinting it was a catalytic converter job $2,000+. Then I called screaming that the cats were fine, that's when they came up with the clock spring. I think they were trying to take advantage of a young kid. Very Shady !! More
Still Working Out Service Problem at Planet Chrysler Jeep I was referred to Planet Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Franklin by a neighbor and realize now that I should have read more online reviews before allowing the I was referred to Planet Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Franklin by a neighbor and realize now that I should have read more online reviews before allowing them to service my vehicle. The principal reason for requesting service on my vehicle was to replace a failing front passenger side seat belt buckle receiver. I was told by Nick on the service team that the whole receiving stem/arm needed to be replaced and that the part would take between 5 to 7 days to come in before service could be scheduled. Nick told me he would call me as soon as it came in so we could schedule a time for the replacement. Now in this day and age may believe with our Amazon mindset that everything should arrive in 1 to 2 business days. However, I patiently waited over a week and a half (more than 5 to 7 bus. days) without receiving a call back from Nick or anyone in the service department. So, I decided to call and was told by another service team member that given how late it was in the afternoon (3:30PM) that he would inquire about the part and call me back the following morning. Now, I waited until noon the following day and still not having heard back I decided to stop by and make my inquiry in person. Nick was not available so the attending service team member made a quick inquiry and found that the part had arrived. I thanked the service rep and scheduled an appointment for two days out. The following day I received a phone call from the original rep I had requested a status update from and who had never followed up with me. He wanted to let me know that the part had been received. I nicely told him that I had been in yesterday and had already confirmed that it was in and that an appointment had already been set. When I dropped the Jeep off on Thursday I was scheduled for an 8 AM appointment. I received a call around noon and was told it was ready to be picked up. I went in and paid for the service. However, when I got in the Jeep I found out that the old buckle receiver had not been replaced. To make an even longer story short they replaced a functioning back seat belt with a new back seat belt. I was told by Nick that he ordered the correct replacement passenger front seat belt but that somewhere in the supply chain a rear seat belt was sent instead. The worst part was that no one bothered to check the service order before installing the part and just installed what had been sent. Nick apologized and then told me he would escalate the issue and special order the replacement part as quickly as possible. He told me that he would put the order in and follow up with me the next day to let me know when they thought the correct part would arrive. Nick never called me back on Friday so I called him on Saturday. He told me that the order was placed on Friday and that he was confident that it would be in on Monday but that he could not confirm it since the parts system did not show updates on the weekend. However, he promised to call on Monday with a status update. Monday came and went and Nick never followed-up. So I called today and spoke with Dan who promised to make inquiries about the part and that he would call me back today. Dan was nice enough to call me back the same day and informed me that the part had been ordered but that they were not expecting it to arrive until Friday at the earliest. Lesson learned: 1. With the exception of one service representative no one ever followed-up with me when or in the time frame they promised to do so. 2. I seriously question the accountability of the service department in handling issues that have been escalated. 3. In my mind the so called Customer First Award for Excellence showing on their website shouldn't be be awarded and claimed by a company whose service department can't simply even follow-up with a customer when they state that they will. A1 Quality Service Department I have a 2008 Dodge Dakota, 2009 Chrysler 300c and a 2013 Dodge Challenger. I will not trust anyone else but Planet to service my vehicles. Dan, the service manager is the best, as is Travis and Maike. The service department shop foreman, John Venuti, is a walking Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep encyclopedia.. John is a Mopar man and has over 40 years of experience with Mopars. They will never screw you for work you don't need, ever! If you have an issue nobody can figure out, they can. I drive over 50 miles to get my vehicles serviced there. That's how good they are. If you ever need parts talk to Dave in the parts department. Their body shop is absolutely amazing as well. Sell and get out of town BUYER BEWARE! Stay away from purchasing a vehicle from this dealership! Bought a used vehicle from them on September 12 and was given a 60 day/2,500 BUYER BEWARE! Stay away from purchasing a vehicle from this dealership! Bought a used vehicle from them on September 12 and was given a 60 day/2,500 mile warranty. The car, unfortunately and ironically, developed a major engine problem during the last week and half of the end of the warranty period and was, also, under the allotted mileage. Couldn't get it diagnosed by a qualified local service center until a few days after the 60 day period had passed. Informed sales manager, Dan, upon learning of the diagnosis of the car. He told me that he didn't believe that he could help me out, but said he would consult with "the powers to be." Answered me back the next day with a , sorry , but "the powers to be" ae not willing to offer any consideration or compensation.....Really? Now I am left out in the cold with a $9,500 engine repair on a vehicle that I paid $16,000 for. Talked to a few reputable dealers about my situation and was told either, that they never encountered an unfortunate case like this, but if they did, assured me that the right thing to do, at minimum, would be to negotiate some level of compensation. Others that had encountered similar warranty circumstances said that they would, absolutely, address the problem or problems to the satisfaction of the customer to avoid poor customer ratings and possible litigation. As one individual stated..."Its only good business principal." More

Great job Planet Jeep! Been a while since I looked for a new car so I wanted to do my homework online first. That is when I got in contact with Harvey at Planet. He explained features and options available to me on Jeep Grand Cherokees. When I thought it was out my price range, he went over leasing and pre-owed options that made sense. The next day I was on for a test drive and Tiffany greeted me with a smile. After several test drives, sorry tiff!, I selected a gently used Grand Cherokee at a significant discount. Tiffany took care of the rest and to my surprise was driving out later that day with my, new to me, 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Thanks Planet Jeep and Harvey and Tiffany! More

Salesman returned and said he "Mistakenly" quoted me a price for a different truck. The truck I wanted would cost $1800 more. I declined this disgusting business practice and walked out. Don't let them fool you. They are as sleazy and unethical as the worst dealer out there. More

Harvey the Internet Manager spent 20 minutes with me on the phone, walking me through inventory and features. He said, a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee just came in with the features I wanted. I felt comfortable and decided to visit the next day. Cory was my salesman and nice and friendly. He helped me get a great deal and took care of everything. I relaxed with free coffee and a chair massage. I took home my Jeep that day ! Joe did paperwork. I am ready for snow! 5 stars Planet Jeep:) More
