Pohanka Acura, and more specifically Matt Collier, made purchasing our new Acura easier than ever before. I have to say that when it is time to buy a new car, I almost dread the fact that it is going to be an uphill battle with the dealer to get a fair price. I started shopping around and Matt was one of the sales people in the area I began talking with. He was very informative and helped my wife and I decide if a lease or a purchase worked better for us. We decided to schedule an appointment to take a TL out for a test drive. Matt had the car pulled up ready to go before we even got there. When the test drive was over there was no pressure to buy that day and they even gave us an estimate on what our trade in would get. A couple days later we decided we were going to purchase the TL. When it came time to talk about price, I was surprised that the offer they gave us on our trade and the sale price of the new car were fair to begin with. They did not lowball us as we were expecting and they were completely upfront about everything. There were no hidden costs and no playing games. We then went to Bart in finance and he continued to make the purchase experience wonderful! When all was done, Matt spent over an hour going over the car and explaining the navigation system and everything else to my wife and I. I thought Matt and the rest of the Pohanka staff were just exceptional. I would recommend Pohanka Acura and Matt Collier to anyone looking to purchase a new Acura. More

Our daughter drives the RDX and recently picked up a nail in a tire, drove in, they plugged it in no time, washed the car and didn't charge her a thing. What a great place! The absolute worse customer service ever. We recently purchased a 2010 zdx. The vehicle was improperly prepped, which resulted in scratches and swirls. Pohanka, suggested we bring the car back so that their body shop could make corrections. Phil took us to the shoppe so that we could speak to the support staff. It did not take long to see the absolute lack of care that would have ensued should we have left it in their hands. While waiting one of the workers passed by the vehicle with a large box, hitting the car as he walked by. The following day we noticed additional scratches where the box scraped against the car. We've been awaiting an agreed upon refund, the paper-work we were promised and monetary resolution as we will have to pay out of pocket to repair the damage their people caused. I'm uncertain if they are aware how incredibly shady they seem, when they choose to ignore the concerns of their customers. It is the height of insult and impertinence when emails and telephone calls are summarily ignored. What should have been a good experience has turned sour. Pohanka Acura suffers from a complete lack of integrity and honour. We will not be recommending this dealership to anyone, and will not purchase our next conveyance from them. More
Good experience. We had to drive all the way from DC to take delivery. Aside from the location, we had a fantastic experience with regards to pricing and paperwork. Pohanka's deal and inventory could not be matched by any other dealer, and Frederick's responsiveness was the icing on the cake. We were able to turn in our existing lease (with another manufacturer), complete paperwork, get oriented and take delivery of our car all within 2 hours (some kind of record?). All the negotiation, obviously, was done before hand, via email, before we set foot in the dealership. This was the best car buying experience we've had. More

Matt was very helpful with giving us several options of different types of vehicles, as well as going over the pors and cons of leasing versus buying. Matt was very patient and did not pressure us to buy when we were not ready. My husband and I ended up purchasing a 2009 certified pre-owned Acura TSX. The staff at Pohanka Acura, especially Matt, were very professional and knowledgeable. We recommend Pohanka Acura to anyone who is looking to buy an Acura. The service and professionalism were outstanding. More
During our search and evaluation for the right vehicle we considered and test drove the Lexus GX-460, Audi Q7, and Acura MDX. Our search and evaluation lead us to a single vehicle and we decided on the Acur considered and test drove the Lexus GX-460, Audi Q7, and Acura MDX. Our search and evaluation lead us to a single vehicle and we decided on the Acura MDX for price, equipment, capabilities, reliability, potential resale value, and overall value. Using the internet we checked three local Acura dealerships for the best possible deal and ended up at Pohanka Acura. We initially test drove the MDX with Josh Barnet who was very patient answering a myriad of questions relating to the vehicle, but during the online search for the best price we ended up corresponding with Zach Plue in internet sales. Both Josh and Zach were very professional, courteous, friendly, and more than patient as we negotiated the lowest price for the vehicle and the value of our trade. It eventually took a week for us to ultimately make the decision and purchase the MDX but the administrative process took only an hour during which we were never pressured or compelled to buy on-the-spot but were given every opportunity to calculate the weight of our decision. I highly recommend Pohanka Acura if you are in the market for a new vehicle. For us Josh and Zach made the car buying experience pleasant and I will request them again the next time we’re in the market to purchase a vehicle. More
I bought a new Acura TL SH-AWD at Pohanka yesterday. I am from out of the area and the dealer knew that I wouldn't be using them for service. While the price was good, I was treated like a number. The sales and finance department seem to be in a rush to process people through as quickly as possible. I felt totally rushed and when I asked questions and wanted details I felt like they were annoyed and inconvenienced. They do have an excellent selection of cars but they seem to be operating like a machine. Buying a new car should be a special occasion. I didn't feel that during my brief visit. More
I had previously come to Pohanka Acura (in 2006) to purchase a new TSX. I experienced the worst customer service at that time. I walked out of the dealership and went directly to the next closest Acura dealer and promptly purchased the car (because the sales staff was superb). After that experience, I did write a letter to the owner of Pohanka Acura describing my experience. He was very apologetic and encouraged me to proceed with servicing and/ or any future purchasing with Pohanka. I did go ahead and use Pohanka for servicing and have been happy with the service ever since. Therefore, when it came time to upgrade the size of my car (after 2 kids), my husband and I decided to give Pohanka sales team another shot. We could not have been happier with our experience this time around. My husband is also in sales, so he is a very tough critic of all sales people. He was thoroughly impressed by both our sales guy, Eric, and our finance guy, Mike. Our experience was stress-free and efficient (especially when we showed up with a 3 day old baby in tow to pick up the car!). Overall, we have nothing but great things to say this time around. I work in very close proximity to this particular dealership and I work with a lot of clients. I will be sure to pass on my glowing recommendation of your dealership. Thanks! More

It was Christmas time and I received an unexpected call from the dealership to upgrade my 2006 tsx to a brand new tsx. I was doubtful and waited for the other shoe to drop. It never did. I received an excellent interest rate and my payment landed significantly less than the current payment I had with the 2006. Freddie was great and so was Jamal. They were very friendly and answered every question I had. I love the new ride! The upgrades are fabulous and my long commute to work to MD everyday is now a more enjoyable experience.
