I've purchased many new cars over the past 35 years from economy to luxury brands. Yesterday, I purchased a new car from Pohanka Acura in Chantilly VA and must say that it was absolutely the best car-buyin economy to luxury brands. Yesterday, I purchased a new car from Pohanka Acura in Chantilly VA and must say that it was absolutely the best car-buying experience I have ever had - bar none! Although I've dealt with many salespersons in my life, this time I finally dealt with a true sales consultant. Bill Kemavor was a gentleman and an absolute pleasure to work with while purchasing my new Acura. He was forthcoming, professional, knowledgeable and absolutely ensured that my buying experience was perfect. He went out of his way to accommodate my requests in every way; his selflessness in the process was incredible. The price I paid for my new car and the trade-in value for my car were fantastic. I could not be more satisfied with the price, the trade value and my overall experience. In fact, I would be swayed to Pohanka Acura to purchase another car just for the experience. My wife is thinking about replacing her AWD SUV and is now only considering the MDX so we can work with Bill again. If you are in the market for an Acura, you could not do better than Pohanka and you should make certain you ask for Bill Kemavor. More
First of all let me say that I very much dislike the car buying process. Thanks to Kwin Leynes and Jamal Edmonds, my apprehensions of purchasing a new Acura were put to rest. I had called every dealer in Pennsylvania looking for a deal on the 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD in Mayan Bronze. Practically no dealer had this car and the few who did, were not willing to offer a deal. Just when I decided to stop looking, I found out about Pohanka Acura through Truecar.com. Kwin made every effort to locate this particular car for me. Kwin gave me an amazing price on this car and I could not pass this up, so I drove three hours to purchase this car. Upon arriving to the dealership, Kwin was respectful of my time and wasted no time in handling my paper work. The price that she had quoted me over the phone was the price that I received. I can respect that she was honest and kept her word. The business manager Jamal was very nice and cordial. He was thorough and straight to the point. He explained all of the documents that I was signing and he did not try to force me to buy any additional options (although it is tempting with all the news options that Acura offers). My whole car buying process lasted about 2 1/2 hours (amazing)! I would gladly recommend Kwin to anyone. More

After calling around to local dealerships I could not find anyone to meet or beat Pohanka's quote. I literally traveled 4.5 hours to return to Pohanka for my second purchase with them. Going to Pohanka Acura was the best decision I could have made! I was getting a price quote online to see if the MDX was in the ballpark and Josh Barnett had called me. He was very knowledgeable and not "salesy" at all, but I went to a different dealership closer to my house to test drive the MDX. After leaving there, I immediately found Josh's number and worked with him. He got me what I wanted, when I wanted it and was very upfront about the price (there was no, let me get my manager to speak with you). He was extremely knowledgeable about the car and just completely professional all around. Everyone at Pohanka was great. I would highly recommend going there if you are looking for an Acura. More
I just bought Acura RDX 2011 from this dealership. This is the best car buying experience I have ever had. The sales person made the buying process as easy as it can ever be. I was referred to three Acura dealerships by the AAA buyer service using their website, Mr. Shah responded to my request for information within 15 minutes and followed up answering all my questions and buyer service using their website, Mr. Shah responded to my request for information within 15 minutes and followed up answering all my questions and searching for a 2010 RDX SH-AWD which met our specifications. While Pohanka's original price quote was $100 over the lowest bid, they were flexible enough to throw in Acura's All Weather Mats and Cargo Tray worth about $270. The final deal was $825 under dealer invoice! Mr. Shah provide very friendly and efficient service, answering all my questions after work hours at his home using his Blackberry, he was never pushy and at all times impressed my wife and me with his honesty and energy. He reflects very well on Pohanka Acura, it was a pleasurable car buying experience, the best since I bought my first new car (1962 Austin Healey Sprite) from a dealership in NYC. More

I went into the Pohanka dealership after receiving a phone call in May, 2010 informing me they were giving mileage overage credits or "forgiveness" on leased vehicles and to come in so they could work o phone call in May, 2010 informing me they were giving mileage overage credits or "forgiveness" on leased vehicles and to come in so they could work out a deal with me to get me out of my leased vehicle which was to expire in mid-July, 2010. I hadn't decided yet whether I would purchase my leased vehicle, continue to rent it or trade it in. I went to the dealership in mid-June, 2010 and that same day left the dealership with a brand new 2010 Acura TL. I traded my car in and they "forgave" half of the mileage overage, the other half was supposedly rolled into the new loan and I gave them a $1,000 down payment. THEN! a month later after thinking the car was mine and enjoying it, even traveled out of state a couple of times to see my family, I received a phone call from Courtney Lindquist, the Finance Director, at Pohanka to tell me that she could not get me financed and my only options were to pay a much higher interest rate or return the car! First of all, I never knew that there was a question about the financing when I drove away with the car one month earlier and I most certainly did not expect to receive a phone call one month later telling me to return the car or pay the higher finance charge. What is more incredible is that they waited to tell me this after my leased car term had expired and Courtney proceeded to tell me that I can not have my leased car back either. So, NOW I AM WITHOUT ANY CAR!!! Can you imagine how upsetting this is?! She told me that my credit was not good but you know what, if it wasn't good, why in the xxxx would you let me drive it off the lot and keep it for a month. Nothing had changed with my credit the day I walked in to the time they called me one month later! What really happened is that they saw that I had a hefty mileage overage on my leased car and decided they were not going to go through with this deal except if I agreed to pay a higher finance charge to make up the difference they lost on the mileage. They said they were not making anything on the new car which is crap!!! I paid the sticker price. I then asked to speak to the General Manager and they gave me Lenny Gonzales who did return my call and gave me a 30-minute xxxxxxxx story of how they really worked hard for me over the past month to get this loan through. First of all, if there was any question over my financing why didn't anyone ever tell me this and not let me leave thinking I just purchased a new car and it was a done deal?! This dealership is a disgrace. The only good customer service that I received was initially from the car salesperson Abdul Gist. And I feel really sorry for him that for a month he thought he had a sale and now to find out, he will not get credit for the sale. Abdul was pleasant and I am sure he was excited to get the deal. However, if I was him, I would not work for a shady dealership like Pohanka. Buyer beware expecially on a trade-in with overage in miles and close to the end of your lease term. It's amazing that dealerships get away with this!! More
