Purchased a used MDX Jeff Mineo could not have been friendly or more helpful, even after closing sale. Two gripes lower to 4*: the vehicle price was essentially non-negotiable despite indications to the contrary and I could not get a quote on Acura Care as opposed to Total Care. More

Wish I never stepped into this dealership, Cancelled my contract without my consent/authorization. 1. Purchased vehicle on Jan 1 2018. Sales person was good and honest. Worked with Ziad Rahm Cancelled my contract without my consent/authorization. 1. Purchased vehicle on Jan 1 2018. Sales person was good and honest. Worked with Ziad Rahme on Finance, he totally lied about VSC contracts. 2. Requested cancellation of VSC on Jan 5, 2018 after confronting the lies. 3. Had to work with different Finance Manager to fix the mess. Took a while to get account number from Acura Finance which delayed the process. Singed the Cancellation forms dated Jan 5, 2018 4. Received account number from Acura Finance Customer Service, sent the cancellation forms on Jan 22, 2018 with account number updated. 5. Acura Finance accounts shows refunds deposited in Jan 26, 2018 6. Acura Contracts customer service confirmed contract cancellations and refund issue on Jan 26, 2018. 8. Purchased another Contract from a different dealership on Jan 31, 2018. 8. Realized that I have not received full amount. Per contract, "On or before sixty (60) days: You may cancel this CONTRACT and receive a full purchase price refund," 9. Contacted again Feb 20, 2018 requesting explanation why sales tax is not returned. 10. Received response on Feb 22, 2018 saying "The tax was paid to the State of Virginia. The state does not refund sales tax on car purchases." 11. I am not an expert but I am hearing for the first time that Sales Tax will not be refunded by state. Requested state law/guidelines confirming the same. Never received a response. 12. Contacted Acura Contracts department for clarification, not helpful. 13. Contacted Acura Clients Relations and registered a case on Feb 23, 2018. They offered gift card for the inconvenience caused but were not able to provide state sales tax law reference. Denied the gift card. --------------------- 14. Received a letter (dated Apr 5) from Acura Contracts that my recent Contract has been cancelled on Apr 9, 2018. 15. Contacted Acura Contracts department and they confirmed the request was from Pohanka Acura and they do not have a cancellation form authorized by me. 16. Also confirmed that the Sales Tax was returned on the previous cancelled contracts and I should have received entire amount according to contract terms and conditions. 17. Acura Contracts representative understood the mess Pohanka Acura has been creating and offered to try undo the Cancellation that was done without my consent. I WISH I NEVER STEPPED INTO THIS DEALERSHIP More

Helped explain what *I needed* in a car that was practical for *my needs* and didn't get me into the most expensive thing available. He asked about what I use a car for, childcare consideration, travel frequency, daily driving activity, utilities I would use an SUV for, and recommended a package that suited my needs. Flip explained all the additional services I could get from the dealership and built a custom plan that worked with my budget. He explained every detail clearly and comprehensively, reviewed the general pros and cons, and had fine grain answers to my specific questions of every service Pohanka offered. Great service!
