My salesman, Mitch was friendly and very helpful and there was no pressure to buy. He was knowledgeable and explained everything very well. The sales manager, Kingsley was super friendly and very easy to talk to and my negotiations were met in full. I got my vehicle for a great price! My finance guy was Matt Carpenter and I got excellent care from him as well. I loved the fact that he was always smiling. It's funny how little things like that can just make your day! Today, I spoke with Brady in the service department with a million and one questions. He was very friendly and answered the phone with great enthusiasm...what a great start! Brady was very patient with me while I asked my plethora of questions. He answered every one of them with great knowledge. I am extremely pleased with Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg and would highly recommend them. Just one more little tid bit for anyone looking for a great car. I recently traveled around 600 miles and got a gas mileage of 42.2 mpg! EXCELLENT! More

Do Not Waste Your Time I negotiated a price online with this dealer for leasing a civic. I confirmed with them that this was the final price, including everything out to doo I negotiated a price online with this dealer for leasing a civic. I confirmed with them that this was the final price, including everything out to door. After I got the confirmation on the phone, I wanted to have something in writing as well, so this is what I wrote and got confirmation from them for " this price is out to door in MD. It includes all the taxes, fees, tags, dealership fees, service fees, convenience fees. This is the the absolute last price including every other fees that may be in the world" When I was presented the final paperwork at the dealership, there was a $350 fee upon return of the vehicle. I told them that this was not told me when I specifically asked if there was any other fees. They told me that the charge was by Honda and they could not do anything about it. The sales guy also suggested that I should have done research to find out myself. I felt insulted when he told me that I did not know because I never leased a car before. I talked to sales manager with no results. Walked away from the dealership after spending the entire day to lease the car. I contacted the general manager same day. He did not accept that they made a mistake not telling me the charge when I specifically asked for it. He also told me that the charge is by Honda and he could not dictate it. He later told me that the transaction did not make sense to them because it was too good of a deal. I would expect the businesses to be transparent doing business. Stand behind of their promises even when they make a mistake, at the very least acknowledge the mistake and apologize for it. I wanted to share this review online so other people do not waste their times. I recommend that you buy your Honda from another dealership. More

Not a Completely Terrible Experience I purchased a 2017 Honda CRV from this dealer. My sales person Bruce Thomas was wonderful from the start. He listened to my wants and needs from the I purchased a 2017 Honda CRV from this dealer. My sales person Bruce Thomas was wonderful from the start. He listened to my wants and needs from the start, and picked out the perfect vehicle for a test drive. The rub didn't start until we returned to the dealership. I have purchased three other Hondas from this dealership. They were under the supervision of Kingsley Kwakye. My previous transactions had been smooth, and without hassle or haggling required. Kingsley had actually called me when I set up my appointment to meet Bruce to confirm I was coming in. I was glad to hear he was still there, and would be the sales manager. It was a shame that he left prior to me coming in that night. I instead dealt with Shehzad Qayyam. He is by far the rudest sales manager I have ever met. His "deal" required the most haggling I have ever had, and then he came over to tell me that what I wanted was not possible. I do understand that numbers are just numbers, however I am a customer and not a number. When I asked to speak to his boss, Shehzad got up, did not say a word and walked away. This was the tipping point that almost made me leave the dealership and drop the deal. Judeaea Horn was my only reason for staying and purchasing a car. She was very kind, and listened to my needs. She was able to work a deal which was within what I was able to do. Why couldn't this have been done from the start? Anyhow from here it was a pleasure to work with the dealership the rest of the way. My finance person James Sinc, was great. He was young, however competent and thorough in his work. The vehicle took a few days to deliver due to hail damage. I was slightly frustrated with the lack of communication through the process of the repair, however Bruce took time out of his day off to figure out what was going on, and give me an accurate time frame as to when the vehicle was going to be ready. I would recommend this dealer, however I would highly caution you against working with Shehzad if he is sitting in the Sales Manager's seat. He will leave you frustrated, and feeling like you are interrupting his day. More
Everyone are not in the same page in this place I will keep my story short by saying I will never ever go to this location ever again. We spent seven hours in this place for nothing. Everytime we attempted to leave they always have something they can do for us to get a deal and ended up with not getting the car after waiting for a long hours of back and fort because our sales person and the finance office were not in the same page. We were told by the sales person that yes, they can do the monthly we agreed with they are just doing the paper works. When we get to finance office the monthly payment that we agreed with was way over than we agreed with, and forcing us to put more money for the down payment to get the monthly payment we want.Not a good place to deal with we just wasted our time. I would rather go to our old Dealership which is Tyson location where we got our 2011 Civic and 2013 Accord. We don't mind driving over an hour at least we know we are going to be in good hand. They even went above and beyond to set up the vehicle with initial Honda Sensing features and the audio features I would need. Shawn Bennett was excellent at reviewing all the features in my vehicle with me and even went out of his way to help me see up the garage door opener. Alexandra Seaman was also awesome in taking me on numerous different test drives to help me settle on the vehicle right for me. Kingsley Kwakye was also excellent at finalizing a deal I was happy with. More
