Had scheduled an oil change and tire rotation 1 week in advance. Dropped off night before because appointment was scheduled for 8AM. Received several emails and texts as reminders. I had a recall for my door latches. I was unable to read the numbers on the latches so I took it to the dealer. He helped me read them and based on what my phone said (after the incorrect information was p the numbers on the latches so I took it to the dealer. He helped me read them and based on what my phone said (after the incorrect information was put in) that the latches should be replaced. We set up a time on my day off to get it taken care of. When I arrived I asked how long it would take, and if a loaner vehicle was available? He said there was nothing available and he didn't know how long it could be 30 mins or 2 hours. I said the guy the other day said it was a major job, he said it could be if needed. I said according to the information given on Saturday it was needed. I said I can have someone pick me up. He said we will take a look and let you know. So I went to the waiting area to wait. Obviously what they say on their website about cleaning being important is just a line. The seats had food in them so had not been cleaned, this was at 8 am. After about an hour of waiting and not heard anything I went to the desk and the service guy said I am just waiting on word from Ford, but it looks like nothing needs to happen. I said the guy on Saturday said it needed to be changed so I don't understand. He said you put in the wrong codes so I have put in the correct codes but I need confirmation. I asked how much longer because I did have other things to do on my day off. He was a little put off and said I don't know so I went back to the waiting room where I waited for another hour before he came in and said nothing needed to be done. Why didn't he say at the start that all he was going to do was put the codes in and sit around and wait for ford to do the work? I could have waited at home or did what I needed to do on my day off.
