The service was great for routine oil changes but the problems started when I had a real issue come up with the car. In January of this year my car slid during the ice storm and had damage to the front wheel. When the tow truck driver asked me where I wanted it towed I didn't even think twice about taking it back to Kia. Steve and Jason where always helpful and started the process of working with the insurance company to get the car fixed. Weeks go by before I finally got my car back only to discover that it was pulling really bad to the right and they were trying to pass it off as normal. I finally got them to work with the insurance again to authorize a repair of their work and I will never forget what Steve said to me.... He said "we are not a full service body shop, you shouldn't have brought it to us". I was speechless.... Never did they tell me that they didn't have the tools or experience to do the job, it was only after the fact that they said that! The thought never even crossed my mind, who better to repair my new Kia than Kia?! I could not believe that a month and a xxxxty repair later they would be telling me that I should have taken it elsewhere!!! I got my car fixed by a third party but it was damage was already done by Kia and as a result I still to this day have issues with the alignment with that wheel. Needless to stay I didn't set foot in Kia for the next 8 months. I got new tires and all my oil changes elsewhere now. But when a headlight burned out I remembered that I had Kia pre-owned warranty on the car. I took in the car on Friday 11/03/2017 but Jason told me that the HID tech was off shift and I should come back on Monday. I asked him about a warranty replacement and he made it seem as if it wasn't a problem. So I come back on Monday 11/06/2017 drop off my car with Steve when he tells me that it isn't covered by the warranty because it expired at 60k and my car was now at 69k. I asked if there was any kind of grace period or anything but no luck. Okay fine I still need a new HID bulb and he tells me it's $250 for the bulb! (Plus $10 or $40 dollars labor depending on which tech you ask) I ask him why it's so much and he said it was because of the HID bulb. I wasn't happy but again I needed a headlight so I left the car with Steve and got a ride home. 5 mins after getting home I search online and discover that the same bulb can purchased for $75!! I call Steve right back and ask him why it's so much of a difference and he gives me some line about a 12 month warranty....I could purchase three bulbs for the same price, why would I want a 12 month warranty?! I come to find out the service has been completed and I'm screwed yet again. I will never step foot in Kia for a non warranty issue ever again and this whole experience makes me want to trade in my Kia Optima and be done with them forever! More

81 year old widow stranded on side of road for hours Mom purchased a new Kia Optima in September 2015. She thought she would take her first solo road trip since Dad passed away. En route to Lincoln cit Mom purchased a new Kia Optima in September 2015. She thought she would take her first solo road trip since Dad passed away. En route to Lincoln city, she got a flat tire. She had roadside assistance so we thought she would be ok. The roadside assistance guy shows up and says that she does NOT have a spare tire. Guess Kia no longer includes spare tires. Dealer never mentioned this to 82 year old lady driving by herself. She now is trying to get her car towed some where. Out on the highway for over 2 hours. Don't think she is going to recommend Kia to anyone. Had we known, we would have purchased a spare tire or at least negotiated that as part of the sale. UPDATE: only fair to mention that Kia dealership did loan her a car to get home. She broke down at 1 pm and finally got back to dealership after 630 with service closed. So they gave her a loaner car and then charged her over $300 to get her a new tire and a spare donut tire. She says she no trust Kia ever again. More
