When I went in to order the vehicle I wanted at no point did the sales person tell me that my deposit would be for a similar vehicle from what I wanted. Why did you require a deposit for something that was never going to be able to be ordered? Just like you stated, I PLACED A SPECIAL ORDER WITH A DEPOSIT. I was never told Toyota was currently NOT building that configuration. At what point did you figure this out? 1 month in? Two months? or 3 months? Of course you gave my "non-refundable" deposit back. You failed. This dealership failed to tell me Toyota was not accepting special orders. Why would I place a deposit down to wait and not get what I ordered? At the very least I would get a vehicle with no added trash I didn't want, right? I could have just walked in and picked something out in your inventory if I was going to be forced to get whatever you got. Here we are 3 months later and now I'm told Toyota doesn't do special orders. I wish I was told this at the time I came in to place my order or at the very least when you found out this was never going to get done. Thank you for giving me my deposit back. You say that no info was withheld or I was never mislead. What would you call this situation I just went through? A misunderstanding? A little mix-up maybe? I know this salesperson that helped me is just doing their job but hopefully this negative review will cause that person to speak up about who in the back offices are making these horrible decisions to mislead, withhold info and to lie to their customers. I have all the emails and text messages saved between myself and the dealer. The last "mix-up" was when I was told my vehicle was being built. The text reads the first week of December is when it will be built. Probably just another misunderstanding as this vehicle has already been built and on the ship getting ready to start heading this way. I would say mid January to arrive. Why is this info important? I asked the salesperson as soon as the vin was assigned to let me know. If they had told me that I would have found out what the build was much earlier than 11-18-22. The first misunderstanding was when I was told Precision adds their garbage tint and door guards to every vehicle they get. Maybe your sales staff should look at your website before lying to the customers face. I did correct the salesperson with that "mix-up".

I placed my "special order" on 8-4-22. I received the message on 11-18-22 my 4Runner was going to be built the first week of December. When I looked at the build sheet, I saw it was missing an option I asked for and it had an added premium sound package I did not order for an extra $1,890. When I texted the salesperson back to inform them this was not what I ordered, this was when I was told Toyota does not do customer orders. I was told Toyota builds all their 4Runners with the premium sound package from the factory. I will look into this further and see if that last statement is also a "mix-up". I would have took that build if you hadn't shoehorned in that extra $1800 option nobody wants. A modular plug-n-play subwoofer and pre-paid 'free trial" subscription services.

I would hate to have to remove my experience with your service department about a year ago to post this one.
