I brought my Jeep in for a tune up and some fluids to be replaced. During the oil change my oil cooler assembly was broken; I drove the Jeep there just fine that morning. I then shockingly received a call where the service guy laughed and said I hate having to make these calls but it’ll be 800$. At no point and time did the manager get on the phone, I had to call back and ask to speak to him. When I did get to talk to the manager, it clearly couldn’t have mattered less. He laugh as he causally told me there was a design flaw and how “lame” it was that Mopar didn’t issue a recall. He also said that anyone who had changed the oil could have broken it, he blamed everyone but who actually broke it. At no point and time was there any blame taken by Prestige, just a nonchalant not really my problem, and bunch of blame passing. The fact of the matter is, it worked when I dropped it off and I was charged 800$ for a part broken while the vehicle was being worked on by them. It also meant that I couldn’t get the work the vehicle was there for done. The part that makes it so much worse is that the oil cooler assembly retails for 247$, it’s cost is 75% labor and they still didn’t step up to fix what they broke.
