I HAD A TRICKY ISSUE WITH PRESTON FORD AND I LET THEM KNOW SEVERAL TIMES HOW DIS-SATISFIED I WAS. IT WAS A TIRE ISSUE ON A USED TRUCK I PURCHASED FROM THEM. I called the dealership on Sat. morning. I had been been looking at Ford Flex on line at different dealers in the area. I was connected with Lisa, she answered my questions, I filled out a preliminary cre looking at Ford Flex on line at different dealers in the area. I was connected with Lisa, she answered my questions, I filled out a preliminary credit application on line. I live a little over an hour away from the dealership, this expedited the purchase process and gave her and myself an idea of my credit rating, financing and so on. When I arrived she was busy with someone, another nice salesman took us out to the vehicles and talked with me and my husband for about 5 minutes until Lisa was free. After looking at the vehicles on the lot, I actually liked the one on the showroom floor. The salesmen moved the vehicle off the floor and outside the sales center so that I could test drive the vehicle. Lisa was my salesperson, but I have to say everyone my husband and I came in contact with very polite and had a smile on their face. I could tell, they really work as a team at Preston Ford. This was my first experience with this dealership. My husband and I were very impressed with every aspect of the purchase. I am very happy with my purchase. My husband is too!! I plan on keeping this vehicle as its loaded, but I would recommend this dealership to my family and friends. More
We recently purchased a F-150 from Preston Ford. It was the easiet buying experience that we have ever had. Neil knew excactly the truck we were talking, asked us a few questions and stated that he would call us back shortly with a price. At that time we told Neil that we would have a trade in and gave him the necessary information. Within a couple of hours Neil called us back and gave us a phenomenal price on both the new truck as well as our trade in. The next day we went to Preston and the numbers were exactly as Neil had quoted us on the phone. The paperwork was completed, the truck was detailed and we were on the road in just an hour. Our salesman Neil Murray was very helpful, friendly and courtious throughout the whole process. We can not say enough good things about the staff and buying process at Preston Ford. This is the second vehicle that we have purchased from Preston Ford in the last eight months and we will continue to give them our business. Dave Wilson and his staff went out of their way to find me the EXACT Ford F-150 Platinum vehicle I wanted. I came and test drove several vehicles, but I wanted a top of the line, fully-loaded, specific co me the EXACT Ford F-150 Platinum vehicle I wanted. I came and test drove several vehicles, but I wanted a top of the line, fully-loaded, specific color exterior and interior Platinum version. Dave and his team pulled out all the stops with salesman Charles Flowers working to find me the vehicle I wanted. The first one they found was in Maryland, but it was a delaer-demonstrator. When I expressed hesitation at getting a 'demo,' the folks at Preston Ford said no problem, and within 24 hours found me a brand new vehicle equipped EXACTLY they way I wanted. I love my new truck, and couldn't be happier. More
I had just experienced the worst New Year's Eve weekend of my life. My vehicle of over 11 years had quit on me, just short of 202,000 miles when my husband and I were on our way to our weekend "get-away". of my life. I ended up with a rental from a dealer in that area who was not very cooperative or helpful. They only would offer assistance if I bought from them, and their selection was extremely limited. When we came home to Smyrna, DE, my husband said to go online and look at Preston Ford in Maryland. He had purchased a work van from there in 1995 and was pleased. While he was on the phone talking to various dealers who advertised in the newspaper, I looked at the online from Preston, typed in my information, and was immediately called by Mr. Murray. He was extremely polite, helpful, courteous - I couldn't have asked for anyone to be more helpful. He answered all of my questions completely, gave me all the time I needed and let me know that they would be open on Sunday. He said he would move the vehicle that I had chosen to a spot that would "save" it for me. We got there early, and were greeted by several people as soon as we got out of my husband's van, and one man, I forgot his name, was aware of me and which vehicle I had chosen. He let us go ahead and look over the vehicle and test drive it before Mr. Murry even got there. He, too, was very pleasant and helpful - never pushy or rushing me at all, which was something I had experience in other purchases. When Mr. Murray arrived, he took over and completed the paperwork for me in a very efficient manner. We were pleased with his congenial manner and how he made us feel at ease with his questions, and he had the financial officer check over things and we were quickly approved. We had a nice chuckle over the "Another satisfied customer" announcement. He took us back to the other person who completed the rest of the paperwork, quickly and efficiently, making us feel at ease there as well. We received the copies, the keys, and our stuffed frog, got out temporary tag, and we were home in time to watch the Eagles lose to the Cowboys! Mr. Murray has already called to check and see how I am enjoying the vehicle and to see if I have any questions. He assured me that he is only a phone call or an email away and that he will keep in touch. I have never received such good service. This was the most painless new car automobile purchase I've ever experienced. And, I've purchased a goodly number of new cars over the last 45 years. My sister bought a new Lincoln MKS last year and I thought it was a good looking, nicely appointed car as soon as I saw it. When it was time to get a new car we started shopping on the internet. Preston had the largest selection of any Lincoln dealership within fifty miles of our home, in spite of their rural location. I requested a quote through the internet on a particular vehicle in their inventory. Neil Murray responded promptly with a price that was very attractive relative to figures I obtained from Edmunds.com. We set a date to see the car. It was just as we expected. Neil was knowledgeable about the product, courteous, and Eastern Shore friendly. There was no shenanigans with the pricing and we closed the deal on the spot. Neil delivered the car to our house the next morning. The free Preston For Life follow-on maintenance program looks very attractive and we have every expectation that our experience with Preston will be a long and satisfying relationship. More
My wifes car went up on a Sunday morning. We previously bought a Trailblazer from the used car department and 80k miles later it has only needed tires. We didn't think we could get a car and with my wife working two jobs and myself working 55+ hrs/ week....WE HAD TO HAVE A VEHICLE! My Uncle said to ask for Les Shirey (he has dealt with Les and Preston for years. And lives 90 minutes away!) At first I was not too fond of Les because he was a Steelers fan. Three hours later Les had us in brand new 2010 Ford Fusion! He gave us the best deal possible for a broken down car, worked with us all the way to put us in something we could afford and took it to the highest level of service. We just knew that with us just starting out we could only get a high mileage car that wasn't desirable. Les DID NOT talk us into something that was not necessary. He worked so hard with financing, trade-in and vehicle selection and got us SO MUCH MORE than we dreamed of. My wife absolutely loves the car. I just remember Les saying.... " Just let me show you what I can do for you two within your budget." This is more than Motor Trends "Car of the Year" he put us in.... We needed this vehicle for our lives (work, families etc). He got us on the road again. Not only that, but in a brand new, loaded, gorgeous, safe and dependable car. My wife absolutely loves the car. Les Shirey and the amazing staff at Preston Auto were nothing short of Saviors for us during the tough Holiday Seasons. Thanks Again! More
My wife and I went to Preston Ford to buy a used car for our growing family. We had done considerable research in the car market before setting foot onto their lot, and, frankly, I was skeptical about shop our growing family. I simply didn't think they could come close to the prices I was seeing on the internet. When we arrived, we met Niel (I actually spoke to him first), and I am glad we did. His advice guided us toward the perfect car for our family (a Ford Freestyle), and he was consistently warm, kind and professional. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and what impressed me most was that Neil had the courage to respond honestly and to tell me when he didn't know the answer. Over the next several days, I continued to research Ford Freestyles in a variety of places, and Neil continued to answer my questions patiently, whenever I called, and to look up the answers and get back to me when he needed to. Ultimately, Neil offered us a better deal than I had seen anywhere else, on a car with more options than we had hoped for. He is a warm-hearted professional, and a man of integrity, and I will happily return to him for our next car search. Thank you, Neil! More
