So I bought a car in March of 2024, in last than a week the engine light came on ,Took is back the fix it, two weeks later in came back on. Come to find out it was catalytic converter need to be replaced, the engine light came on ,Took is back the fix it, two weeks later in came back on. Come to find out it was catalytic converter need to be replaced, when I took it back they offered to only pay half of the cost for repairs, I was moving to a new job so I told them to get my plates and just let me deal with it because I was already stuck with the car anyway, three months later the AC stop work , then the car died on me , had to put 2000 dollars into repairs and I was warned by the mechanic that they had cut a wire in the car that would have cause a serious accident if it weren't fixed, They basically save my life, then I had to replace all tires then get an alignment later, then in June of 2025 the engine blow, the repairs were up to 4000 dollars and I had already gotten tickets and got my license suspended just keeping up repairs, I talk to capital one my lien agent because they send me to the dealership and because of how rude they agent was on the phone I decided to have them pick up the car, Now I am with out a car, 11000 in debt , hope you learn from my mistake and stay away from that dealership, that was not even the car I was trying tobuy, They always ignored my calls during that time and lied that the car was covered under warranty, I am writing a complaint on every platform because I hope some save themselves from what they put me through. BUYER BEWARE – DO NOT BUY FROM PRIME MOTORS IF YOU WANT A SAFE, RELIABLE CAR My brother purchased a 2009 Audi S6 from Prime Motors in Arlington, VA on September 13, 2025 for approximately $14,047 financed SAFE, RELIABLE CAR My brother purchased a 2009 Audi S6 from Prime Motors in Arlington, VA on September 13, 2025 for approximately $14,047 financed through Credit Acceptance Corporation. He also paid $4,000 directly to Prime Motors by debit card for GAP insurance and an extended warranty. Less than 24 hours later, the vehicle began experiencing serious mechanical issues. It stalled on September 14 and would not start on September 15, requiring a tow to an Audi dealership where it sat for 8 days. On September 23, it was towed back to Prime Motors for a fuel pump replacement. On September 24, while driving home, a rear tire blew out due to suspension issues. On September 29, the vehicle broke down completely and never started again. My brother owned the vehicle for 28 days; it was operable for only 6 of those days. While trying to resolve these issues, my 35-year-old brother died unexpectedly on October 12, 2025, leaving our family to handle the financial consequences. In December 2025, an inspection by a Virginia Audi dealership found the car failed the VA Safety Inspection and required over $16,800 in repairs. A Virginia State Police inspection also determined the July 2025 inspection (while the vehicle was owned by Prime Motors) should not have passed. Due to the vehicle’s condition and inability to be registered, Credit Acceptance Corporation repossessed the vehicle and forgave the remaining loan balance. However, Prime Motors has still not refunded the $4,000 paid for the GAP and warranty contracts. The warranty provider confirmed a full refund is contractually required due to my brother’s death within the 30-day cancellation window and has instructed Prime Motors to issue the refund. Despite this, Prime Motors has delayed, issued incorrect partial refunds, and provided misleading information about responsibility for payment. Prime Motors told BBB that they do not control the funds and that refunds must come from the contract administrator. This does not align with what we have been told in writing by the warranty company’s upper management and CEO, who confirmed that Prime Motors is responsible for issuing the full refund, as they received the payment directly. Prime Motors even attempted to claim the contracts were financed, which is untrue. My brother paid $4,000 directly by debit card. They also issued a partial refund, which contradicts their claim that they are not responsible. This situation has required constant follow-up from a grieving family while Prime Motors continues to avoid resolving a clear contractual obligation. We have now filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and are pursuing additional consumer protection avenues. Our experience does not appear to be isolated. We were informed of similar situations and found numerous complaints across BBB, Yelp, and CarGurus describing comparable issues. Based on our interactions, it was clear that both Virginia State Police and Credit Acceptance Corporation were familiar with concerns involving this dealership. All we are asking for is the $4,000 refund that is contractually owed. More
This correspondence is to formally address a critical and deeply concerning series of events regarding the Jeep Grand Cherokee that I purchased from your dealership on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at approxi deeply concerning series of events regarding the Jeep Grand Cherokee that I purchased from your dealership on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM. Less than 24 hours after taking possession of the vehicle, on Sunday morning, the check engine light illuminated, signaling a significant mechanical issue. As your service department was closed, the vehicle remained parked until it could be brought in for assessment on Monday, February 23, 2026. After an extended five-hour plus wait, the initial diagnosis indicated a required replacement of the evaporative (EVAP) system and the catalytic converter. This initial assessment immediately raised questions, as the vehicle had ostensibly passed a mandatory state emissions test to secure its inspection clearance, a prerequisite for sale in our state. The situation has now escalated dramatically. As of today, February 26, 2026, the latest diagnostic report from Prime Motors LLC states that the vehicle requires a complete engine replacement. The proposed solutions offered by your establishment are either a repair timeline of approximately ten days or the requirement of additional financial investment for me to acquire a different vehicle. Neither of these options is satisfactory given the immediate and severe nature of the vehicle's malfunction post-purchase. It is particularly unsettling that the extended warranty I purchased, intended to provide comprehensive coverage and peace of mind, apparently does not cover these fundamental and immediate mechanical failures. Furthermore, obtaining detailed documentation of the required repairs has proven challenging. Upon requesting a comprehensive repair sheet today, I was initially informed by a manager (Alberto) that such documentation was unavailable. It was only after I explicitly stated that external parties involved in this matter require this information that I was assured the detailed repair sheet would be provided by tomorrow, February 27, 2026. While a loaner vehicle has been provided, this temporary measure does not mitigate the substantial and ongoing concerns regarding the purchased vehicle's condition. I have already initiated contact with the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter, and they are currently awaiting a response from Prime Motors LLC. I require a thorough explanation for how a vehicle presenting such severe and immediate mechanical deficiencies could have successfully passed a mandatory state inspection prior to its sale. This incident raises significant questions about the pre-sale inspection processes and the vehicle's roadworthiness at the time of purchase. I expect a comprehensive and equitable resolution to this matter, one that fully addresses the vehicle's catastrophic failure so soon after sale, the discrepancies in warranty coverage, and the overall implications for consumer confidence and ethical business practices. I will be meticulously documenting all communications and outcomes pertaining to this situation More

I purchased a 2014 Chevy Tahoe from Prime Motors LLC on October 28, 2025, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Immediately after leaving the lot, the vehicle displayed a check engine light and sh October 28, 2025, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Immediately after leaving the lot, the vehicle displayed a check engine light and shut off in traffic. I returned the same day and was told it was an oil pressure/oil pan sensor issue. The dealership claimed to repair it on 10/30, but the same warning returned shortly afterward. I took the vehicle to a certified Maryland inspection facility, and multiple serious safety defects were documented—all of which clearly existed at the time of sale. These included: • Failed brakes and rotors ($1,400) • Unresolved oil pressure/oil pan defect ($1,477) • Engine mount replacement ($1,110) • A-pillar water leak causing interior intrusion ($1,152) These are not minor repairs. These are major safety issues no dealership should overlook or sell to a customer without disclosure. The vehicle was unsafe and unfit for normal driving from the start. When I notified the dealership, instead of addressing the documented safety concerns, the manager became hostile and made improper threats of repossession—even though they are not the lienholder and have no legal authority to repo or track the vehicle. My financing is through Credit Acceptance, and my first payment was not even due at the time of these threats. In my experience, the dealership did not take responsibility for selling a vehicle with significant pre-existing defects, and the customer service turned combative when I raised legitimate concerns. I am now pursuing resolution through appropriate consumer protection channels. I recommend that anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here proceed with extreme caution, obtain a complete independent inspection, and review all documentation thoroughly before signing. More
I bought a 2023 Tesla Model 3 (VIN 5YJ3E1EA7PF490986) from Prime Motors LLC on Nov 1, 2025. The salesperson lied about the contract, telling me the financing would be 60 months, but the Retail Installmen from Prime Motors LLC on Nov 1, 2025. The salesperson lied about the contract, telling me the financing would be 60 months, but the Retail Installment Contract I signed lists 72 months with a $379.75 monthly payment. I paid a $5,000 down payment. After the purchase, the car failed Maryland safety inspection, and the dealer refused to repair the issues or correct the loan term. On top of that, they used my phone without my permission to write a fake positive review about themselves, which is completely unprofessional and dishonest. I believe this dealership knowingly misrepresented the financing and engaged in unethical conduct. I am filing complaints with the Virginia DMV Dealer Board and the Maryland Attorney General. Buyers be very careful. Read every document before signing and do not hand over your phone or let them post anything under your name. More
