what exactly does a warranty do? I purchased a 2019 Honda Ridgeline with an extended warranty. Thus far, I'm beginning to wonder whether the warranty was just a sales scam. As far a I purchased a 2019 Honda Ridgeline with an extended warranty. Thus far, I'm beginning to wonder whether the warranty was just a sales scam. As far as I can tell, the dealership doesn't actually do repairs. Well, the next piece of news was that bumper to bumper coverage didn't include a couple items. For example, unexplained windshield cracks were not covered. The excuse was that it must have been physical damage. I was given the advice to drive to the dealership and wait for an assessment to be made. The last time that I went for an "assessment," I waited hours for the assessment to be made. Well, the optics here are not great. There was more time given to waiting on hold and then being told that bumper to bumper wasn't exactly bumper to bumper. I guess that that the excuse is better than the warranty. I'm left wondering how many excuses can be used to not honor an extended "bumper to bumper" warranty. I think that it probably makes more sense to get as little warranty as possible since it doesn't mean much to have a warranty. More

BIG MISTAKE. I got taken advantage of. In a little over two years, I've put more than $5k into fixing the engine. I spent thousands at the Proctor Honda service center after exhausting all other options. The person assigned to me knew exactly what was going on. My experience left me with the distinct impression that selling over-priced cars, fooling customers into spending more than the list price, and then roping them into their over-priced service center is normal business. Ripping off one person is too many, in my opinion. I would strongly consider exploring all other options before ever risking what we've been through, especially as we've dealt with it during COVID-19. It's been a painful money trap for me and my family. It's taken food off my table. Please be very careful More
