BUYERS BEWARE!!!Would give 0 stars if possible.I am out BUYERS BEWARE!!! Would give 0 stars if possible. I am out of state and have been trying to buy a car from this dealership for weeks. Each time I cal BUYERS BEWARE!!! Would give 0 stars if possible. I am out of state and have been trying to buy a car from this dealership for weeks. Each time I call for a sales rep to start the car buying process, I either get Danny or Harry. Danny tells me that Harry is not a salesman, just a scheduler, and doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to selling cars because it's impossible for me to buy a car out of state. While Harry tells me that it is possible to purchase a car out of state and tries to get me to send a down payment on the car ASAP to get the process started. Whenever you call, you are most likely to get Harry on the phone, who seems to read off a script to get you to buy the car ASAP. Either there is some misunderstanding within their own store or the salesmen at Quality Auto Center don't know how to do business and force you to pay upfront for their service. Being out of state, I had a private inspection done and gave them an offer for a car I was willing to purchase immediately if and when we came to a reasonable price. They were trying to charge me $2,800 for a pre-certification charge on top of the car's listing price, claiming that the car has gone through a "multi-point inspection" and that services were done to keep the car safe to drive. When I asked for the inspection form, Harry told me they didn't have any forms on file. Even though it was dealer pre-certified, they didn't have any forms within their own dealership to prove the "multi-point inspection" was done? Danny continues to tell me that the inspection comes with a dealer warranty of 30 days or 1000 miles since the car is currently at 90,000 miles and that it is included into the price of the car, non-negotiable. Correction, you're just telling me what you're required to give me from the New Jersey Used Car Lemon Law. The warranty can be waived per the Lemon Law: "In negotiating a better price for the vehicle, consumers may waive their right to a warranty". Especially if I'm trying to buy out of state, what good would a dealer warranty do for me? When trying to come to a price on the car, Harry stays adamant about "just submit a form on TrueCar and that will be the price we can work with". When speaking to Danny, "TrueCar offers a fair price that will be cheaper than what I can come up with, if you're trying to get a price from me, it would end up costing you thousands of dollars more". So from what it seems like, they don't want to haggle about pricing, and would rather you get a price through an online website where they can manipulate dealer fees into the price of the car before taxes. I then pointed out that the sub frame of the car was clearly damaged with proof of pictures from my private inspection and asked to have the "pre-certification" fee waived since it was clearly not safe to drive. Damage to the front sub frame right by the rear torque mount could not only mean structural damage, but a number of other issues down the road if not fixed! I would rather negotiate and get a fair pricing on a frame damaged car than stick with a price that is already set for me by an online website. Ever since then, it has been "let me talk to the sales manager to get a price finalized for you". It has been two weeks of me calling them and not having a "finalized price". Either they don't actually have a sales manager or are unwilling to sell a car unless they can scam customers out of it. Charging $2,800 for a pre-certification charge claiming the car is safe and good to drive when it CLEARLY is not, is totally unjustifiable. They're just trying to pocket money by charging their customers a fee that has no proof to back it up. As stated in another review: "DO NOT FALL FOR THE RECONDITIONING FEE! They don’t service any vehicle whatsoever before or after delivery." I recommend to stay away from this place unless you know your consumer rights when buying used cars and know what you're going to get yourself into. That is if they're even willing to get back to you about a "finalized price". Quality Auto Center has no intentions of negotiating. After reading other reviews as well, this place is a total scam! More
