It all started with an email. I made an offer on a Titan that included tax, title, and registration with no add-ons. The offer was accepted and I made an appointment on Saturday to test drive the truck. The night before, Ricardo emailed me to say that the truck was in the shop to have some scratches buffed out and would not be there for my appointment. He suggested rescheduling for Tuesday the following week. As the dealership is quite a distance from my house, I told him that wouldn't work. Saturday was the only time I had available. At this point, I was just disappointed as I had cleared my Saturday schedule to potentially buy that truck. I decided to go anyway as they had a couple of other trucks I wanted to look at. I was very clear with the salesman and Ricardo in every conversation we had about price. I restated throughout the negotiation. I stated it to Ricardo. I stated it several times to the salesman. It was the bottom line number including tax, title and registration. When I got into finance, the loan was over $3k higher (without tax, title, and registration). I was livid. Ricardo backpaddled, essentially called me a liar and said that was not what we discussed. I have bought numerous cars and trucks. I never discuss monthly payments, interest rate, or anything other than the price out-the-door. Ricardo, you are a disappointment. People coming to your business deserve better. I just don't think you have the capacity to be any better than you are. That's just sad. What I can say is...When I got home, the first thing I did was to remove the license plate frames with your company name. Petty, I know. But I refuse to advertise for your company. More
