Mr. Gaines, Reviews like this are out of the ordinary for us. We tried for a while to contact you via phone and email. Since you did ignore our attempts to re-explain leasing terms, we feel we have no other choice then to do it publically. When a vehicle is leased, first payment is due the day you sign and allows you drive the vehicle for the next 30 days. The best way to help make this clear is if you were to rent an apartment. The landlord would collect your rent on the 1st of the month and you would live there till the end of the month having already paid out the month. When the NEXT month comes, your rent is due on the 1st and allows you to live there another month. Leasing a vehicle is no different. It is even itemized on the lease agreement you signed. Toward the top center left is the itemization of the money you put down; the amounts and where the money was dispursed. You will see FIRST PAYMENT is one of those items. Guests often confuse this with financing a vehicle where the banks allow you to wait up to 90 days to make your first payment. A very common mis-understanding when leasing a vehicle. We understand that purchasing/leasing a new vehicle is an involved process. You are certainly not the first person to mis-understand a lease agreement. This is a difficult review to address. Ms. Lauren Carter did not purchase her Altima from RAMSEY NISSAN. She did purchase the vehicle from CUSTOMER CARE CENTER which refers guests to our service deparment as we are a Nissan Store. To our understanding, Ms. Carter intended to buy an Infiniti and was not able to obtain funds to do so. What she left out of her DEALERRATER.COM Review was the vehicle she did purchase; a Pre-Owned 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5S with under 15,000 miles. The vehicle was in pristine cosmetic and mechanical condition as well as a spotless, clean CARFAX report. Ms. Carter entered our service department demanding new brake pads. We went so far as to measure her current brake pads which were no where close to being worn to the point of servicing. She would not let us test drive the car with her to understand why she felt she needed new brake pads. Lauren, you are still welcome to service or shop at Ramsey Nissan. I will go so far as to offer you a FREE FRONT BRAKE PAD REPLACEMENT when they do come due even though you did not purchase your Altima from us. //Ramsey Nissan
