Do NOT buy a Nissan Rogue! My 2023 engine literally went up in smoke and I have no updates from this dealer. No loaner. Nothing! More

Frank, we understand how frustrating this situation must feel and appreciate the opportunity to clarify the timeline and current status of your vehicle. Your Rogue arrived on 4/14 without a scheduled appointment. On 4/16, your advisor reached out to explain that our shop foreman had not yet been able to inspect the vehicle due to several vehicles ahead requiring extensive repairs. Your vehicle was brought into the shop on 4/17, and you were updated accordingly at that time. This repair is being handled under factory warranty and involves major components, including the engine, turbocharger, and catalytic converter. Your advisor has been actively communicating updates as they became available. He was simply off yesterday, which may have contributed to a lapse in communication, and we apologize for any added frustration this caused. As of now, we have received authorization from Nissan to proceed with the repair, and the necessary parts have been ordered. We are currently awaiting confirmed ETA details to ensure availability and avoid any backorder delays. Once we have that information, we will coordinate a loaner vehicle for you. Your advisor has also reached out to confirm approval and to let you know they are actively working on securing a rental in the interim. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process and remain committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.

Hi, thank you for your response because I learned things that I wasn't even told. Yes the advisor did keep me updated but there were zero updates on what was wrong with the car until today 4/21. Yes the car was brought in on the 14th but it wasn’t looked at until 4/17. The only updates we received was that it hadn’t been looked at because there were other cars with similar issues and only one person could perform this job. The only other update was that is was finally being looked at on 4/17. The only important update wasn’t until this morning 4/21 telling us what was wrong with the car and what was being done. So the car has been there for one full week and we were told today (4/21) what was wrong with it. It is a brand new car, only three years old and it needs a new engine? That in itself is it is very discouraging and disappointing. We were promised the service manager was going to call us yesterday (4/20) and he never did. I just don’t think one full week without anyone telling us what is wrong is acceptable. Right now the number one priority is getting a loaner car ASAP! For other people out there with the same issue, open a claim with Nissan Headquarters ASAP and it also helps to contact the NHTSA so all these issues can be documented.
