Tire issues - 2nd visit I had purchased a "gold" service warranty when I originally purchased my car 7 years ago, which included 4 new tires if damaged by road hazards such a I had purchased a "gold" service warranty when I originally purchased my car 7 years ago, which included 4 new tires if damaged by road hazards such as nails or debris I was having trouble with the low tire pressure light for a while, so I brought my car in for service. ( this was not my first time having issues with the tire sensor or tires. I have brought the car in for service over the years and was told I just needed air. I felt kind of dismissed) I specifically asked about the gold service and to check for nails in the tires. Service techs said there was nothing wrong with my tire or the sensor light. My boyfriend ( who never comes with me but was adamant that I was being taken advantage of) specifically asked if the car was put on a lift and check. He was told yes. It was suggested to me to purchase 4 new tires for $950 total. Since we were in a shelter in place for COVID 19, money was tight so I said I would hold off on new tires. I left the service center. No light cam on and drover 2 miles home. 4 days later, I drove my car 1 block and the tire sensor came on again. I immediately brought my car back to the service center and again I was told there was nothing wrong with the tires and nothing wrong with the sensor. Again suggested to me to purchase 4 new tires. Again my boyfriend, asked if the car was put on a lift and checked. he was told yes. We left and drove directly to a Mavis center. The tech at Mavis found 2 nails imbedded in 2 tires. And the Mavis tech said my tires had never been rotated ( they were never rotated b/c I was never asked EVER at Subaru service center if I wanted my tires rotated. We were told by Subaru that there is a $25 change to rotate tires and there is no documentation that I was asked and I declined this service). My warranty expires tomorrow May 13. What a coincidence. I brought the car in on Friday, May 1st, and Friday, May 8th for the tire issues. I paid for new tires at Mavis, even though I had indirectly paid for new tires with my "gold" warranty with Subaru. It doesn't seem too golden now. Truthfully, I believe I was taken advantage and I am hoping it is not because I am a woman. I don't believe the tires were checked both times. Someone should have seen the nails the 2nd time. I was the first in my family to purchase a Subaru. It is my 2nd car which I drive in the snow or bad weather. So it is not as if this car is rundown or driven too often. It is 7 years old and has 56,000 miles on it. I convinced my sister in law to buy a Subaru ( they now have 2 and one is from this dealership) I doubt I would suggest it to anyone else. On a positive note, I loved my salesperson Chris Wallin. More

no nonsense with my purchase My salesperson Alex was very straight ahead and we skipped all of the nonsense you typically get from so many other dealership salespeople.
