Test drove a car here, but didn’t buy here. The quality of the interactions with salespeople was very uneven. One individual (John) means well, but his interaction style may leave you feeling cold. He tend of the interactions with salespeople was very uneven. One individual (John) means well, but his interaction style may leave you feeling cold. He tends to talk over you - perhaps particularly if you are a woman (he did this repeatedly with both my wife and a friend), and as a consequence may not hear what you’re saying. This is a problem when you have questions about a car. He also offered to text to schedule things, but then was slow and inconsistent in doing so. If the representative of the dealer isn’t really listening, and further sends you the message that they are somewhat irritated by your questions or ‘put out’ just to take the time to interact with you, what is the incentive to stick with that dealership? For us, they had good pricing but the incentive simply wasn’t large enough. We ended up buying elsewhere. To the dealership’s credit, however, someone did follow up with us down the road, but by then we had moved on. More
