Hi Paul. I’m not sure what can be done at this point. I basically accepted what I was told about my battery, only to be told by family/friends that the battery problem should have been taken care of by Honda since my vehicle is a 2018 and I purchased it in October and have already needed the starter replaced, so the battery issue could have stemmed from the problem we had with the vehicle in January. I was told it wasn’t covered under warranty, which is fine, but again it’s primarily the issue that I just bought the Van and I’ve already had some mechanical problems with it. As far as the mice nest issue.. my husband was not pleased to look under the hood and remove some things, in order to exchange out my battery, and found the nests and said that those things should have been found by the advisor/mechanic who said they performed all these tests under the hood. So he felt like my van wasn’t looked over the way I was told.

Thanks for getting back with me. Unfortunately Honda only provides a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty on the battery. Although uncommon for most Honda products, we do on occasion have parts failures/defects as you experienced with the van's starter. American Honda provides a 100 month pro-rated warranty on a purchased replacement battery, the best warranty on a battery in the industry. Batteries usually have a 3-5 year replacement cycle. The original delivery date on the van was August of 2017. Nearly five years on the battery is a good battery life cycle. We have been on both sides of the mouse nest issue as some customer's do not want it removed for evidence for insurance purposes, and other customer's in our experience want it removed. I apologize we did not inform you of the decision to not remove it. Our service team hopes this one experience does not deter you from using our service department in the future.
