Good Morning, A diagnostic fee must be authorized at time of vehicle check in. If the diagnostic proves a failure or defect with a vehicle component, typically the manufacture's warranty will provide coverage. In this case we could not provide the manufacture with a failure or a defect on the part(s) as it was evident there was outside influence that damaged the parts needed for the repair. This is a situation that the manufacture's warranty will not cover. Please keep in mind if you authorize the repair on the vehicle the diagnostic will be credited toward the repair. We hope to see you in the future for your vehicle needs and apologize this visit was not completed to your satisfaction. Thank you for the reply. Paul Thulin Parts and Service Director
