My wife and I traveled over 400 miles to dealerships in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Ames Purchased a 2006 Honda Odyssey @ 172k for $5,000. My wife and I traveled over 400 miles to dealerships in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Ames, Traer, and just about anywhere where we could find a specific year or model of minivans. We went from stopping at every dealership we came across and talking with the reps to getting to the point where we could just do a slow drive-by and instantly tell, (like some people do garage saling), 'Nah! That one doesn't have anything good.' We stopped in at a blistery cold winter day to Randy Kuehl Honda in Cedar Rapids and met Stephen. A very motivated salesman, Steve battled some pretty harsh weather to scramble all over the dealership bringing us vehicles to inspect. Our salesman worked very hard to ensure that he had a good understanding of our budget and could drive away with a good deal. His attitude was very much: "Why drive around the rest of the country looking for more minivans when you could just find the year you're looking for right here?! How much do you have to spend? We'll MAKE it cost only that much!" Understand, up to this point, We'd purchased $1,500 cars and they all have lasted many years. Shopping for a van with almost 4x that much, I figured would be easy. Not, apparently, when it comes to minivans. Certain desirable years are simply unobtainium these days. Everything else we seemed to be finding readily available were makes and models synonymous with transmission troubles, motor mount issues, and much worse. Steve had a Honda that was one of the years we were looking for, and the idea that 'yeah, we'll just make it cost $5k, tax+tag+title included' seemed incredulous. The only other vehicle close to touching that in similar condition was a fully-loaded 07' in Ames @ 200k miles. The purchasing process was simple and quick. There was no haggling over the price. Steve was great to work with and stayed true to his word. I would highly recommend you to swing by Randy Kuehl Honda if you are in the market for a newer vehicle. Great time buying 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid - Jim E. I just took delivery of a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring edition. I have purchased a few different cars over the years, but never a Honda. I decided I just took delivery of a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring edition. I have purchased a few different cars over the years, but never a Honda. I decided to look at Honda this time. My first contact at Randy Kuehl Honda was with Nate Kuehl, Manager. I found him to be genuinely welcoming and sincerely concerned about meeting my needs. He introduced me to Chanin Dirks, Sales Consultant. Chanin was a well-trained and experienced professional who took the time to ask good questions and understand what I wanted. He explained the features of the products that would best fit my needs. He was friendly and I found him pleasant to deal with. At no time, did I feel pressure to make impulsive decisions. Chanin was available, even off hours, to answer text messages and take phone calls. He explained all the options on the vehicles and he answered all my questions. If he didn't know something, he admitted that, and found the answer quickly to respond to me. I felt the pricing they provided was competitive and they were up front about costs. Once I had made up my mind about the vehicle and options I wanted, they arranged credit quickly and I was approved right away. They searched and found me the exact vehicle, equipped the way I wanted it within a matter of days; even my first choice on color. I then met with Mike Mills, Finance Manager, the day my vehicle was ready to pick up. He was cordial and easy to talk to. He had all the information about my deal organized and in order. He went over everything in a thorough manner and made sure all my questions were answered. After that, Chanin Dirks took time to personally show me all the features of my new car and he gave me all the time I wanted to explain settings and show me all the technology on my vehicle. He made sure I was completely comfortable with every detail of the car and fully satisfied with my purchase. He also gave me his number and told me to call any time I have a question or concern. Since I didn't have someone to drop me off to pick up my new car and I was not trading in my existing car, Chanin even made arrangements to have someone drive my old car and follow me while I drove my new car, so I could get both cars home. The customer service was above the call of duty. I am very pleased with my Honda and the sales experience I received at Randy Kuehl Honda was the best experience I have ever had at an auto dealership! Thank you! More
