The car had little trade in value and then I learned it needed $1,800 worth of repairs on a broken head gasket, which was not an economical investment. I was prepared to dolly my broken down Civic elsewhere. I had my heart set on a VW Tiguan, but I told the mechanics that I was willing to hear about the Honda CR-V. I mean, they have AWD. Randy Kuehl Honda Parts and Service referred me to Trent in Sales. Trent listened to my hopes and dreams to get a Tiguan. We talked about the high cost of maintenance, the low residual value, higher fuel cost and other cons to the Tiguan that I had not thought of. Practicality steered me back to the Honda brand. I test drove the CR-V with Trent. We mapped out the logistics of moving my old car loan to the lease payments and having Honda make a payoff at my bank for me. We also worked together to get to a price that I was willing to pay at a mileage allotment that met my lifestyle. At not point did Trent try to throw a sales pitch at me and prematurely close the sale. He listened to my situation, told me to do some research and come back if the idea of the Honda CR-V made sense. When I needed him to review the lease payment because of my budget, he did that.
