Everything about this dealership was awesome. Mark Hoyer was a great salesman. He was honest right out of the gate and that was probably what sold us on our new Honda CRV. Mark was knowledgeable about the product and answered all our questions. We did have an issue the day we picked up the car as I forgot my license. The young man in the finance dept. handled that without a problem. We would definitely recommend Randy Kuehl Honda and Mark Hoyer to all our family and friends! More

My overall experience was very good. The two people that I worked with were very helpful and able to answer most of my questions on the spot and if they were unsure they followed up quickly. Andy Russell is the Assistant Financial Manager at Randy Kuehl Honda. I bought a used Honda from the dealership, and Andy took care of the financial papers at the end. He gave clear explanations and made sure we understood what we were signing. Numbers are not my thing, so I was glad to have someone explain this stuff in a straightforward way that anyone could understand. We chatted a bit afterward; he is a nice young man and easy to be around. Andy’s work with me was part of what gave me a pleasant experience at Randy Kuehl Honda. More
My car salesman, Matt Smith, was excellent. He even came in on his day off to close the deal so I could have my car for the weekend trip. The whole process of getting my new car was painless and easy. I feel that Breck Calame in the finance office was fair and straightforward. My only minor issue was that the car was not as clean as I would have preferred. It was not a big deal but there was some grease marks on the interior door handle and some foot prints on the floor mats. When I get a new car, I want it to be spotless but maybe that is a bit unrealistic given the winter weather. I highly recommend this dealership. Great experience. More
Matt Smith was very cordial to us when he met us in Honda's parking lot. We were taken to his office where he interviewed us as to what our needs were. He went to the storage area and brought up the car that matched our needs. After looking at the car, we went back to his office. He made one trip to the sales manager and returned with an acceptable price. Matt gave us a friendly trip to the service area and introduced us to the scheduler. Everything was handled with no pressure and a helpful attitude. More
I can't say enough about our experience at this dealership. My mom and I were looking for a car for my niece in Colorado and I had been searching on AutoTrader. I've used this site in the past to find my Toyota in Wisconsin. I really wanted to get my niece a Civic because they are very reliable and get awesome gas mileage, which is the perfect combination for her. When I saw this car, I knew I needed to jump on it quickly or it would gone, so I sent Andy an email on the evening I was doing my search, and he got back to me right away. I asked a few questions about the car and he gave me all the information I needed. Since we were unable to come up to Cedar Rapids that day, as we live three and half hours away, we put a hold on the car and were able to come up the following Saturday. The explanation and process of buying the car was very easy, and I am grateful for Andy's assistance. I know from my numerous car shopping experiences, that we could never have gotten the service we did in Des Moines or Omaha, which are much closer to us than Cedar Rapids. My mom drove the Civic most of the way home and I can tell you it's going to be very hard for her to give this car up. My mom is a lifetime Chevy owner and I think Andy just made her a future Honda owner, and this Toyota owner might just be a future Civic owner! Thanks Andy! More
The sales person was very knowledgable about the car I test drove. He was willing to work with me on the price to get a price I could accept. He worked to beat the very low loan interest offered to me by test drove. He was willing to work with me on the price to get a price I could accept. He worked to beat the very low loan interest offered to me by my credit union. He beat the credit union's interest rate by .75%. He was attentive, making sure the car was spotless when he handed the keys to me. He made sure I met the service manager, who will assist me with the options I added to the car. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was a sales technique that I am sure the poor sales guy had to use, but it was clear that he was uncomfortable with it. During the price negotiation process I was asked to put my signature to a line that said, "If we can agree to a price today that you find agreeable, will you buy the car today?" I asked if I signed this statement would that be viewed as a binding contract by the state of Iowa? He said, "No, this signature is above a line on the page. Below the line is a place to sign when it's time to make this a contract?" So, why the pathetic and useless tactic? It left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, I will say is the the other sales guys were lounging around the dealership and it make the whole organization look lazy and substandard. At one point I heard a sales person complain to another sales guy about a customer he helped on the lot. He had disparaging things to say about the customer, which everyone in the showroom could hear. Lastly, the facilities for this dealership are old, tired, shopworn and messy. As I walked from the showroom to the service area, I noticed the waiting room for service guests dirty, poorly lit and not comfortable. The service area is also well past its prime. Randy Kuehl needs to visit the area Toyota dealership to see what a clean show room and service area looks like. The poor facilities at Randy Kuehl make me wonder if they care for customer's cars as poorly as they care for their facilties. Randy, it's time to poor some money back into the dealership to keep up with customer expectations and the times. More
