I was recommended to Ray Catena from a family member. I had been deciding between a Mercedes and Lexus. I went to Catena at Freehold and met with Gary Lach. It was the best sales experience I have had i had been deciding between a Mercedes and Lexus. I went to Catena at Freehold and met with Gary Lach. It was the best sales experience I have had in purchasing a luxury vehicle. I have not had any problems whatsover with my vehicle. I get prompt and friendly service everytime I visit the dealership. I had a 08 Lexus RX 350 and wanted to trade and buy 2012 Lexus RX 350. I visited the Ray Catena dealership in Freehold and spoke to Gary, and he was supposed to follow-up and he never did. After Christmas Lexus RX 350. I visited the Ray Catena dealership in Freehold and spoke to Gary, and he was supposed to follow-up and he never did. After Christmas season, i filled truecar.com and listed Ray Catena dealership. Gary called and said he will call back w/innventory and prices, but he never called. I called few times and left a messages but never to get a call back. I wnet and bought a Audi Q5 at Princeton Audi. They have a fabulous sales team at Princeton Audi and was very happy with the sales experience at the Princeton Audi dealership. I was actually advised by Carl Aloi (I believe Ray knows him) to call Ray and explain the situation, but it is hard to get hold of owners. Hopefully the delership will correct the problems, so they truely represent the scores that are shown on the score card. More
By far the best experience ever ! Leased 3 RX350 from them. Everybody from sales person, Garry L. to receptionist, to service department. Outstanding all the way ! This is my third Lexus RX 350 all from Ray Catena. I was seriously considering a Mercedes but after Neil Platt introduced me to the 2012 350 with all the new and improved bells and whistles, I was sold. No pressure, just the car, facts, and a good price. He just kept going on and on about how great the car was over the phone. Then the personal test drive and I was sold. I trust Ray Catena even though other dealerships were a lot closer. Neil went above and beyond to make the entire buying experience pleasant. Buying my Lexus at Ray Catina was fine - overall a very good experience. That's where it ends - a month ago my transmission died, car was slipping. Had the car towed to my mechanic - yup it was my transm good experience. That's where it ends - a month ago my transmission died, car was slipping. Had the car towed to my mechanic - yup it was my transmission - I needed a new one. I called Ray Catina- all good - no worries - they picked up the car and towed it to their service area. About an hour later, I get a call from a service rep who informs me that my mechanic used the wrong transmission oil (fluid) in my car. I phoned my mechanic where my car has been serviced since I purchased it and where my other Lexus was serviced. He told me the fluid they use - Toyota recommended fluid (whatever it is). I phone Chris back and told him - he told me - "Well he may have told you that he used the correct fluid, however they did not." and that the transmission was going to cost $4500 and NOT COVERED! I asked THREE times are they sure, that my mechanic had been in business for 35 years and has a impeccable reputation. He said yup he was definite. Then I informed him that my MANANIC WAS MY HUSBAND!!!! And, how dare they bad mouth a small independent business. Well, needless to say my mechanic / husband called the service manager, and my transmission was changed at NO COST, but only AFTER they were caught with their hands in the 'cookie' jar!!! NEVER WOULD I GO BACK THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS WAS TAKEN!!! More

This is my second Lexus that I have purchased but my first time at Ray Catena... and let me say WOW! Of course this is a for profit business but at the same token not your average dealer by any means, t first time at Ray Catena... and let me say WOW! Of course this is a for profit business but at the same token not your average dealer by any means, there are NO customer issues and Ray himself is right "If you think anything is more important than the customer,think again." Everything and anything I wanted they were more then happy to give & accomidate me with. I am a true customer of Lexus and I will continue to ONLY d business with Ray Catena More
