Well, there is always a first time and this is the time, when I bought a 2012 Lexus ES 350 from John Mezzino. In the past, car shopping was a dreadful experience. I remember when my late brother begged me to help him buy him his first new 1960 Chevrolet Malibu. Thereafter, each time it was the same - filled with anxiety, pressure and constant haggling until 2010 when I purchased my two previous used vehicles from a used car dealer when I noticed that buying a car was less hectic. However, my experience two weeks ago at Ray Catena Lexus of Freehold was actually pleasant. I still can't believe that one can go out of the dealership spending considerable money and walk out smiling. Thank you John Mezzino. Thank you Joel Cohen for making it easier for John and me to make this deal a pleasant transaction. I already knew how good the service was because I had my 2007 Lexus serviced there. But I had always wondered why I had never once was approached by a salesman when I browsed around the lot while my car was being serviced. Not once! Until I met Joel and thanked him for my pleasant experience and asked him about my curiosity. He gave me his answer which I cannot argue because one cannot argue with success. Nevertheless, I gave him my opinion, which may merit an additional Lexus pen for my wife. In conclusion, once again I want to thank John Mezzino for making this sales transaction memorable. I almost forgot the young fellow (I don't remember his name, but I do remember his excellent presentation and sale of tire/rim insurance). He didn't convince me but he easily convinced my wife to purchase it. She agreed to pay for it, therefore he too deserves my thanks.
